Yet again we’re forced to say that this website simply will not wish anyone, no matter how repugnant, some sort of ill-will or “karma” or anything of the sort. Many sites will and they can be found easily. We just won’t.
Mitch McConnell is not a good guy. He is responsible for a lot of death and suffering. He has also done more to fundamentally weaken democracy in this country than any other single person, far more so than Trump. McConnell is also 78 years old and has been under a ton of pressure lately. It would be a tough haul for anyone, never mind a 78 year old man who is not in good shape – to say the least. McConnell held a press conference this evening in which he was just typical Mitch McConnell. In other words, he was a dick. He espoused how the GOP put together a perfect plan but the Democrats are trying to destroy the United States and blah blah blah. You have heard the exact same press conference dozens of times.
There was one noteworthy substantive bit of news coming out of it and that is that there is a bit of a rift between McConnell and Trump over withdrawals of troops from Afghanistan. From the Daily Mail. [1]

In a rare display, McConnell publicly challenged the Trump administration’s intent to reportedly remove troops from Afghanistan [4] and Iraq – dwindling numbers to just 2,500 in each country.
That isn’t the news. The news is that the man looked absolutely horrible. No, he looked sick. And this is not the first time. Remember the blue lips and black hands a week ago? This time, he could not seem to complete a sentence without having to take a huge deep breath.
The question is whether a man as evil as McConnell would be out walking around with COVID, if at all possible so that he could ensure their majority? (Grassley is already out). Would he resist being tested because of key votes coming up? Is that even possible? Chris Hayes just said four or five members of congress or the senate have just tested positive. COVID is going around the Capitol building. Is it possible that McConnell has COVID and won’t be tested? Or something else serious?
Just saw a quick presser McConnell gave on @CNN [5] He does not look good. Pale skin, walks with a slight limp, and has trouble breathing.

I really wonder if he would hide a condition in order to keep voting. If the GOP lost too many Sens, healthy Democrats could very suddenly pass a LOT of votes (though I don’t know senate rules, it seems like if there is a majority to overrule objections …
