Trump-Loving GOP Senator Josh Hawley Doesn’t Even Live in the State He Represents

There are two interesting facts about GOP Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley; the first one being that he’s a major-league conspiracy theorist, the other one being that he doesn’t even live in Missouri. It appears he’s been taking a page from President Donald Trump, who tried to register to vote in Florida while claiming his “legal residence” was in Washington, D.C.

Hawley, The Kansas City Star, and Alternet will have you know, has been living in his $1.3 million home in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., while claiming his sister’s home address to vote from in Missouri.

But people at his office became huffy and waved off The Star when the publication asked them about this. And apparently, this isn’t the first time Hawley has played pin the tail on the address. Because, according to the newspaper, Hawley’s family is one heck of a travelin’ family.

Per Alternet and The Star:

“Hawley lived in Columbia during his stint as a professor at the University of Missouri Law School and two years as Missouri Attorney General. But in March of 2019, the couple sold the Columbia home, according to the Boone County Recorder of Deeds.”

“That same month Hawley and his wife were added as co-owners to his parents’ home in Springfield, according to the Greene County Recorder’s Office. That property was sold in June.”

“A little more than a month after the sale of the Springfield property, Hawley changed his voter registration to his sister’s home in Ozark (Missouri.) He is also using the Ozark address for his registration with the Missouri Bar.”

But of course, he’s got an explanation by way of using a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory that somehow blames “some George Soros Democrat group” for it. Because of course. Makes perfect sense to me. And as you’ll see below, the Twitterati agreed.
