Election 2020

Michelle Bachmann Claims Her Vote Was Stolen by Satan, Who is Now ‘Physically Abusing’ Her

A group of notable right-wing Christians held several “Barnstorm Georgia” rallies in Georgia last weekend, hoping to mobilize their followers to vote for Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in the January 5 runoff election. This election is an especially critical one because it will determine which party will control the U.S. Senate during the next term, Right Wing Watch reports.

Which of course means, this was a perfect opportunity for Michele Bachmann to engage in some of her fantastical thinking and then infect others with it.

She appeared at the rallies at the behest of other right-wing Christians, specifically David Barton, his son Tim Barton, and Rick Greene, the architects of the WallBuilder organization. Other big guns were also on the docket — Georgia Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk, and anti-masker Charlie Kirk, Dinesh D’Souza (who was convicted of violating campaign finance laws and subsequently pardoned by Trump), and Kirk Cameron, who seems to be competing with Scott Baio for the role of most washed-up actor.

There is a reason for their concern. As it stands at least one poll — 538 shows Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have slight leads over Perdue and Loeffler, and if they win, Republicans will have a far more difficult time in continuing their agenda of repressing people and sitting on stimulus checks.

And Bachmann was performing her usual shtick at the Salem Baptist Church Friday night in Dalton, Georgia. Declaring that she would never be a “chump” who would accept that Biden won the election, she then screamed that Satan is destroying the election and that “my vote was stolen.”

“From the political point of view, from the legal point of view, from the moral point of view, America is not on board with Joe Biden as the next president of the United States,” Bachmann said. “We’re not there. And the reason why we’re not there is because we’re not that dumb in the United States because we know, without a shadow of a doubt, this man did not get the votes on election night. It didn’t happen. Donald Trump got the votes on election night. So why would we be like drones, chumps, and fools to go along with this?”

But Trump supporters really are “that dumb in the United States” because they continue to spread the falsehood that Trump won the election. Yes, Trump “got the votes on election night” — 74,209,754 of them in fact. To Joe Biden’s 81,271,249. Biden also has 306 electoral college votes while Trump is well behind him with only 232.

So in the real world, that means Biden will be the 46th president but we’re talking about Michele Bachmann here, who apparently gets her information from, I don’t know, aliens maybe. Or maybe God, but in that unlikely case, He’s telling the rest of the world that Biden won.

But Bachmann is all Satan all the time, and she’s claiming that election night was “when Satan was snatching away from America rule by the consent of the governed.”

“In other words, [Satan was] stealing from us our right to vote,” she exclaimed. “I am highly offended, insulted, angry, and I’m not going to stand for the fact that my vote was stolen.”
