As Fred Guttenberg says, this is the new face of the GOP or MAGA party, yet to be determined whether they are still one and the same. Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, and Josh Hawley, there are many more and likely more coming in 2022.
The old GOP cared about money and would do what was necessary to move money. The new MAGAs truly seem to believe that the 2nd Amendment encompasses at least 50% of the issues this country faces. As we’ll see below, some of them believe in conspiracy theories up to the point of believing that Sandy Hook and Parkland were “faked” in order to legislate gun control and George Soros pays for absolutely every progressive cause.
In the video, then regular citizen Marjorie Taylor-Green brutally harasses Parkland survivor, 18-year-old David Hogg, just weeks after he saw his schoolmates taken down by assault weapon fire. Theoretically, Taylor-Green is the adult while Hogg was still a kid, still grieving, still “shell-shocked,” literally. She insanely demands that he stop and talk to her while sanctimoniously talking about her precious right to carry her gun. She is wrong about her rights, but that’s for another day.
Marjorie Taylor-Greene is wrong about a great many things that should be dealt with today. She doesn’t believe that anyone died at Parkland, according to the New York Times’ new story on Taylor-Greene:
When a follower from Jamestown, N.Y., posted false claims about the 2018 shooting [1] at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., and said Sandy Hook was “staged,” Ms. Greene responded, “This is all true.” The post was surfaced last week by Media Matters for America, a liberal group that monitors conservative news and media posts.
Fred Guttenberg knows exactly what happened and one’s heart drops imagining a 14-year-old girl’s surviving father struggle to make sense of this world:
This is one of the sickest f*cking things I’ve ever seen. And I watched nearly every second of trump for five years.

Agreed. It is. And yet that is not the worst of it, Taylor-Greene once referred to Hogg as a crisis actor and called him “Little Hitler.” According to Andrew Kaczynski:
“Greene has taken down many of the Facebook statuses linked in our story, including calling @davidhogg111 ‘little Hitler,’ and saying ‘bingo’ that he is ‘bought and paid little pawn’ when someone called him a ‘paid actor.‘ Greene previously agreed Parkland was a false flag.’
Unbelievable, and it goes on:
Greene put out this statement to get out in front of our story, which she suggests someone else did all the Facebook likes on her page about executing members of Congress, and FBI agents and commenting about hanging Obama and Clinton. https://t.co/YDFEkqNNwP [3]

Taylor-Greene’s actions repulsed a lot of Americans.
This is Marjorie Taylor Greene harassing a child that just went through the most traumatic event of his life. Throwing conspiracies out about Soros. She thinks because she owns a gun she deserved appointments to talk about her crazy to members of Congress. Now she is one. Help us https://t.co/JiyuuBiD91 [5]

Question for 2nd amendment/Stand your Ground Twitter: if a person follows me around, taunting me and telling me they have a concealed carry firearm, at what point do I get to claim I reasonably feared for my safety and am justified in taking actions against that person? https://t.co/Senl9CcOAb [7]

What a country, that forces *children* to live like this. What a country where someone who harasses children like this can be elected to federal office. https://t.co/f5E6cu2qnn [11]

This is both sickening and unsurprising. Prior to inciting a terrorist attack, @mtgreenee [13] was a Parkland conspiracy theorist. She needs to be removed from Congress, immediately. https://t.co/75RcI1C3iZ [14]

You know what’s wild about white supremacy? It’s all (white/christian) “family values” & “ protect our children” until you break the rules. It’s a cult. This woman was just elected to Congress🙃 https://t.co/Er7x0Q4g9x [16]

Fro @mtgreenee [13], one of the most ugly displays of rightwing paranoia, craziness, and meanness. And this woman is now a member of the House of Representatives. Trumpism is a cancer. https://t.co/IUbtZhsKbz [18]

If there is one small ray of hope it is the fact that there are now very serious calls to expel Marjorie Taylor-Greene for “Liking” comments that involved attacking Democrats, and now this video of her accosting Hogg. People are rising up against this:
Do you think Marjorie Taylor Greene should be expelled from Congress? (Me: Absolutely, yes.)
