Election 2020

Fox & Friends Ainsley Earhardt Hopes That Trump ‘Will Be Able to Forgive’ Mike Pence for Not Helping Him Overturn Election

Oh, poor Ainsley Earhardt! She’s all worried about whether President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence can kiss and make up after Trump’s pet thugs forcefully entered the Capitol building and tried to hunt Pence down, The Week reports.

Congress was in the midst of certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory when an armed mob of Trump supporters burst into the Capitol building and disrupted the process for several hours. Pence had promised to certify the results as he doesn’t have the constitutional authority to challenge this even if he wanted to, and this is apparently what triggered the insurgents, who were inspired by Trump’s criticism after Pence didn’t do what he wanted to him to do.

Earhardt, for her part, did a little thinking out loud (she really should give that up) on Fox & Friends after co-host Steve Doocy noted there was no possibility that Pence could “wave that magic wand” and make the bad election go away. But Earhardt hoped there could be some way for the two to reconcile, adding that she “hope[s] that doesn’t taint their relationship, because they’ve been such supporters of one another.”

After Doocy picked his jaw up off the floor, he asked her how that can even be possible but Earhardt blustered right on by, saying “I hope the president will be able to forgive him.”

“I hope that they can move forward and move past this and just agree there were differences,” she said in conclusion.

Um, she hopes Trump can forgive Pence for not doing something that he was not constitutionally allowed to do in the first place? She’s in a dither because Pence is doing the right thing for once? Are we in one of Kellyanne Conway’s alternative facts or something? This woman is getting paid to talk nonsense while all across the U.S. people are struggling to make ends meet.

Sometimes the world just doesn’t seem real.
