Lauren Boebert Slams David Hogg for Not ‘Stopping to Be Questioned’ When Accosted by Taylor-Greene
Oh dear god. One wants to look away, like when one passes a horrific wreck on the interstate, saying a silent prayer for the occupants, knowing it’s too late.
Today, David Hogg tweeted that fencing will not protect the representatives in the House because the real threats were already inside as members. He called out Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert.
He said the exact same thing that Nancy Pelosi said earlier in the day.
Except in lashing out, Boebert didn’t dare go after Nancy Pelosi. Boebert is far too afraid of punching over her weight. Additionally, it is possible that Boebert feels a bit of heat given that there’s likely an investigation into whether she directed the hordes storming the Capitol regarding Pelosi’s position.
But Boebert did go straight at David Hogg with a disgustingly vile tweet. In a sick way, it makes perfect sense that Boebert would go after Hogg and not Pelosi. All Boebert seems to care about is her fcking gun and Hogg only represents a threat to that gun, whereas Pelosi remains a threat to everything.

Boebert called out Hogg for not “stopping to answer questions” when Marjorie Taylor-Greene accosted him on the street, just weeks after Hogg and the rest of his schoolmates were attacked by a man wielding a rifle. Back then, Taylor-Greene demanded that Hogg, then an 18-year-old kid, stop and answer her questions. She also said she had a concealed carry permit while holding a big handbag. It was a threat and Hogg took it as a threat. But, because 18-year-old Hogg was braver and more mature than us, he simply continued to silently walk, ignoring the woman who called him a paid actor.
Boebert supports that woman and clawed at David Hogg in a manner that would get her kicked out of school, but apparently not the Republican party:
David, please. We all saw how tough you were when questioned face to face.
Give your keyboard a rest, child. https://t.co/DDnpmkyfIS

Disgusting and vile human being.
This is quite possibly one of the most deplorable moments on social media by a sitting elected official. A gun toting, insurrectionist enabler, talking down to a school shooting survivor. No. @laurenboebert Not today. Not ever. Resign. #AccountabilityBeforeUnity #Republicans https://t.co/pS2CzdKa3r

Yes. That is exactly what we thought. But then again, Boebert emulates her hero, Donald John Trump, who perfected the tweet insult.
People were shocked.
Nobody shot up your high school and you still couldn’t graduate.

She deserves it now.
I cannot believe this woman is making me take David Hogg’s side. But these are the times we live in. https://t.co/XNzFDjZDIo

Yes.
Imagine being a sitting member of Congress and harassing a child on Twitter.
Disgusting. https://t.co/GLPxsdPeOJ

He is not technically a child anymore but, yes, we do know and understand.
And Hogg responded just as we’d expect from David Hogg, with class:
Sorry I was a little more worried about MTG not shooting my friends and staff with her concealed gun she was threatening us with than responding to your evil twin.
It’s a little thing called deescalation you probably haven’t heard of it. https://t.co/EfxFsJD4kO
— David Hogg (He / Him) (@davidhogg111) January 29, 2021
Yes.
So here’s the deal.
In my experience, those who haven’t experienced the trauma of mass shootings usually talk the toughest.
But the tough talk and bullying of survivors is the ultimate sign of weakness. https://t.co/TmcM52qBF0

She is trash talking a kid who survived a school mass shooting. https://t.co/0ILsfyY9PG
— Bradley P. Moss (@BradMossEsq) January 29, 2021
A woman who inspired a terrorist attack is publicly mocking a college student who survived a terrorist attack as a kid.
And GOP leadership 100% champions this absurdity. https://t.co/pqWrYwnn9C

The @GOP has a lot to answer for. Here’s one of their own addressing a mass shooting survivor. https://t.co/noVGHXwcdU
— Brooke Binkowski (@brooklynmarie) January 29, 2021
He, as a child, survived a violent, armed, murderous attack.
You, as an adult, incited one. https://t.co/lxQICSwKOS

terrorist sympathizer has some words for parkland mass shooting survivor https://t.co/aljfBTLiSV
— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) January 29, 2021
Disgusting. We have to drive by. Because we’re still not as mature, nor as brave, as David Hogg.
****
Peace, y’all
