Americans Furious as Pictures Emerge of Ted Cruz Flying Off to Cancun While Texans Face Tragedy and Uncertainty: UPDATED
Where is Ted Cruz? We would actually understand if he was loudly demanding that President Biden do more to help Texas. We actually wouldn’t even point out his hypocrisy, not just yet, because we actually believe that when everything is done, it will be all too tragically apparent that no one did enough, that this tragedy was far larger than anyone knew at the time.
We often see disasters do this. It took 5-7 days for people to understand the scope of what happened during Katrina. It is physically impossible to get to people and get a victim count and assessment in the midst of something like this. We desperately hope we’re wrong. But this is the type of tragedy where people fall asleep and never wake up.
Meanwhile, where is Ted, the most hated man in the Senate? He was pictured on a plane to Cancun and checking in at a swank hotel. Great idea, if one can get there, unless someone has asked for the job to represent the state in the federal government and especially if that guy wants to be president someday. Ted Cruz has always been hated but this would have been one of those times that he’d have been far better served had he stayed and used this as a massive political opportunity, staying on the phone (we doubt he’d need to be cold) and screaming that not enough was being done.
Again, he would be right while also being a politically calculating bastar… person. Maybe he’s not that smart.
Meanwhile, the net was not about to let him get away with this so easily. One almost gets the feeling that the moment Ted sets his foot in Iowa, someone is going to say, “weren’t you the guy who went to vacation on the Mexican beaches with a Corona when your state perished?

UPDATED:
One, Cruz’s office says that he merely “accompanied his family down.” He stayed one night and flew back because of course he did. Everyone noticed that they only released these “details” well after the country went crazy over the pictures.
Two: Cruz’s office was not answering phones most of the morning.
I know some of you are concerned (jk) about Ted Cruz's well being during the power outages and lack of drinkable water for millions in Texas, but not to worry: he's vacationing in Cancun. What else would the country's biggest douchebag be doing? https://t.co/vMVi7ZknDT

Seems prudent to avoid getting photographed on a beach, flying to a beach, or in front of your gourmet freezers full of $8 pints of ice cream when your constituents are in crisis.

Sigh. No love or indeed respect for Ted Cruz, but Gov. Abbott lying that wind power caused the Texas blackout is a much more important story than a stupid trip to Cancun.

But typical Ted Cruz, he wants to point to someone else’s state’s issue!

My thoughts on the @tedcruz matter are that if @tedcruz went to Cancun, he should resign, and that if @tedcruz did NOT go to Cancun, he should resign.

Since we're talking about @TedCruz, other than his active support of sedition, selling out of his state to terrible policies, seemingly ditching Texas in a crisis, defending a traitor and the most corrupt president in history, selling out his wife with his turnabout on Trump…

Why wouldn't Ted Cruz vacation while his state is freezing to death in one of the most successful Republican-orchestrated failures of governance of their 50 years of orchestrating governmental failure? He runs on the premise government fails.
Promises kept, promises delivered.

Hey Texas, @tedcruz sends his very WARM and COZY condolences to you starving, freezing, dying Texans from Cancun and thanks for voting for him, it is what it is!!! pic.twitter.com/sLnZJ688gp
