The Infamous ‘Eye-Gouger’ of Insurrection Arrested for Beating DC Officer is a Retired NYPD Cop

People have rightly focused upon the death of Officer Brian Sicknick at the hands of the insurrectionists. But the seriousness of other officers’ injuries has not gotten the attention they deserve. The injured officers should be respected and thanked for their heroism. There were some very serious injuries, including officers with brain injuries and one that will lose an eye.

From FOX News :

Nearly 140 officers — between both U.S. Capitol Police and the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) — were injured during the incident on Jan. 6. Papathanasiou said officers who “were not issued helmets prior to the attack” have sustained brain injuries. One officer has “two cracked ribs and two smashed spinal discs,” and one officer is “going to lose his eye, and another was stabbed with a metal fence stake,” he said.

We cannot be sure that the officer referenced with the eye injury above is the same officer pictured on Twitter assaulting a man’s eyes with his fingers. Various users have tried to help in identifying the insurrectionist. It would seem that the search is over.

Thomas Webster has been identified as the same man in the pictures. Shockingly, Webster is a retired NYPD officer. From Rawstory:

A retired NYPD officer turned himself in to the FBI this Monday for his role in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, after being accused of using a pipe to assault Capitol police officers.

Webster was also known as the “eye gouger” on social media, due to images showing him allegedly jabbing his thumb into the face of a Capitol police officer.

Will you still wear a mask even if your state doesn't mandate it?

The reprehensible MAGA ex-police officer pictured here:

It is hard to contemplate and harder to further comment. The MAGA movement is a cult, a cult so strong that anyone standing in their way is the enemy. A retired MAGA police officer? The odds are near 100% that Webster was a “back the blue” advocate last summer when Black Lives Matter protested the killing of several black men. He surely nodded up and down as Trump talked about respecting police officers.

That was then. This officer doesn’t count because Trump comes before everything to these people. Everything.

Peace, y’all
