Trump’s Niece Mary Says He ‘Never Made Any Money’, Claims Records Will Reveal ‘Tax Fraud for Decades’

Mary Trump is noting that an investigation into her uncle’s taxes will reveal one huge truth: Namely, that Donald Trump has “never made any money.”

In an interview with CNN Monday night, Mary Trump said she was confident the decision made in a Supreme Court ruling will help New York City prosecutors obtain Trump’s tax records and other financial records in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation, per The Daily Mail. That, she noted, was a “long time coming.”

Indeed.

Trump has fought one effort after another to keep his taxes private.

In her interview with CNN”s Chris Cuomo, Mary Trump said she thinks the tax returns will make some surprising revelations.

“Firstly, he has never made any money, and every penny Donald has was really my grandfather’s initially,” she said. “Secondly, he’s going to be shown to have been somebody who gave zero to charitable causes… and the most important one is that he has most likely been committing tax fraud for ages.”

And quite obviously, Mary Trump is in a celebratory mood over this.

“It’s a huge victory for the Supreme Court to have cleared the way for New York state to get access to Donald’s tax returns because it’s a long time coming,” she said. “He should have faced accountability a long time ago.”

Indeed, the court’s decision to make his returns available to the investigation unravels the attempts he’s made since becoming president to keep his financial records hidden. But it’s not lost on Mary Trump that the Republicans have enabled Trump to maintain secrecy and she chided the party for its cowardliness.

“The Republican Party is going to do absolutely nothing to contain Donald, and they’re just going to allow him to continue to be the head of their increasingly anti-democratic party that’s perfectly comfortable engaging in tactics to stay in power illegitimately,” she told Cuomo.

In hiding his taxes, Trump had a gambit he liked to use: He’d simply claim they were being audited in order to avoid revealing his taxes. That worked for years.

Until now.

With the SCOTUS’s ruling, a grand jury will soon be privy to these documents, which span from January 2011, all the way up to August 2019, and this even includes tax records from his accounting firm. Trump won’t be able to use the “auditing” excuse this time, Mary Trump notes.

“There is no reason to believe that he actually has been under audit for decades,” she added. “But that aside, it doesn’t matter what he said. Because the IRS knows the truth, and pretty soon the New York County District Attorney Cyrus Vance and the Attorney General of New York Letitia James will have access to those documents.”

“Donald has been playing fast and loose with his taxes for decades, and it’s about time the American people have access to exactly what has been going on, and most likely has continued going on,” Trump noted. “Because let’s face it, this is a very longstanding pattern.”

As is typical Donald Trump is playing the victim and has denounced the Court’s decision in a 400-word statement.

“This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country,” he wrote, citing a laundry list of his past complaints that included blasting former special counsel Robert Mueller and (once again) falsely claiming he won the election.”

But now that those tax records have been cracked open and their contents revealed, it will be far harder for him to snow people. His situation is turning darker and it couldn’t happen to anyone more deserving.
