Internet Laughs as Trump Threatens to Go to Alaska to Campaign Against Lisa Murkowski, ‘He Knows It’s a Long Place Ride, Right?’
Lisa Murkowski voted against the stimulus bill, the last hope of a “bipartisan” stimulus package. One would think that the stimulus vote will be her biggest issue in 2022.
But she did vote “Guilty” in Trump’s last impeachment.
As everyone knows, Trump enjoys revenge almost as much as he enjoys “winning. In fact, a good mental exercise might be trying to figure out if Trump can conceive of a way for him to “win” without someone else losing. Trump likely doesn’t believe in a “we all win” world. A win to him is just the flip side of inflicting pain on someone else. In the end, they are almost the same thing. So Trump relishes the idea of getting revenge upon Lisa Murkowski.
How much does he relish it?
He relishes the idea of revenge so much that he actually put out a statement today, promising to “go to Alaska” and campaign against Lisa Murkowski to ensure she loses. Alaska’s 2022 primary date is August 16th and so one has to envision Trump taking time out of his golf game and luxuriating and flying all the way to Alaska – without the government paying for it now – and campaigning in …We bet he doesn’t know anything about Alaska. Honest.

And yet he’s coming, ask him:
Trump is going to love flying back and forth to Alaska! https://t.co/C3qx1kxvCi

Right.
What a petulant child! And you just know that someone else informed him about the Interior Secretary issue, Trump cannot spell “Interior.” His argument that this is about whether the interior secretary is fair to Alaska is just precious. (Interior Secretary is damned important to Alaska and all western states but that’s a different column). As if EVERYONE doesn’t know that this is all about voting “Guilty” in Trump’s impeachment.
Regardless, this three to four times a week “statement” thing is almost enough to wish that they’d just put him back on Twitter, the “statements” would be shorter!
But the internet had lots of fun anyway:
Who wants a felon like the orange man campaigning for them anyway??? Mr irrelevant https://t.co/L90LplNoMF

Yeah I'm betting one visit max. And Alaska has implemented rank choice voting so I'm thinking Murkowski isn't losing any sleep https://t.co/N3fdK5vP0n

When will delusional EX-p. Trump realize
Air Force One is no longer available for his use?
He's been pampered using AF1– he'll hate using
his own plane paying for his own jet fuel. I'll bet,
he will not fly to Alaska on his own expense. https://t.co/nqa82ha9xU— rpd (@sunairh2o) March 7, 2021

And the intra-Alaska puddle jumper flights on tiny aircraft that are exempt from FAA safety rules. Tell Trump he'll need to book OUTDOOR venues to hold ALL the ALASKANS who'll want to come out & see him. Alaska weather is beautiful in the Fall! #Alaska #Murkowski #Trump https://t.co/ik6fx9LuTC

Trump probably could not find Alaska on a map.
Good to hear that Murkowski is on the hot seat. Time for the Democrats to put a viable candidate in her chair. https://t.co/B65bWVugXW— Thinking Out Loud – Biden/Harris 2020 (@Alpine1280) March 6, 2021
