Fox Host Says That Pretty Soon Antifa Will Run U.S. Towns, Just Like Cartels Do in Mexico

Fox News continues its abhorrent reaction to the Derek Chauvin verdict and the fact that much of society is getting sick of seeing the police hunt down Black men (and women) in the streets, shooting them over expired tags.

The Fox reaction? Feel bad for those poor cops who remain on the force. If we continue to come down hard on police who shoot and kill black people and brown people, no one will want to become cops, and then what?

So under Fox’s logic, we are supposed to find Chauvin “Not guilty” and not worry about all the other incidents in which Black Americans are shot because we want police officers of that type? Or of the type that quit because they’ll be held accountable? We want officers like that? Of course, the “we” talked about in this situation is “we” white people.

Yes, that is the logic. Antifa is coming to run your town because no one else will, according to Rachel Campos-Duffy via Crooks and Liars:

What do you expect to happen? I mean that’s exactly what’s going to happen. You see also a lot of the law enforcement it’s, you know, maybe a grandfather and a son and the grandson all become cops and a lot of cops aren’t just retiring, they’re not encouraging their sons to go into the profession, you know, where they might have a legacy of that. And of course who would under these conditions?

And I’ll tell you what will happen in the end, you’ll get what you have in Latin America where unless you’re rich and you can afford private security, I mean that is how, when you defund the police, look at Latin America, those are police forces that aren’t properly funded. And in some towns in Mexico the cartels run them. So, how would you like your town to be run by subcontract antifa to keep security in your town? That’s the path we’re on.

Oh, believe us, Rachel. Some of us are worried that is the path we’re on, a society in which inequality is so gaping that the rich live like kings behind stone walls manned by turrets.

But we’re not worried that holding police accountable for hunting down Black Americans and thus limiting the number of people who want to be cops is the issue. And we are really not that worried about Antifa coming to town, given we’ve never met anyone or heard from anyone who claimed to be a member of Antifa.
