Sen. Marco Rubio’s Cowardice Gets Rocked on Twitter: Excuses Gaetz Because He’s ‘Pretty Firm in His Denial’

Marco Rubio is one odd mud duck.

He was once a rising star. Seriously. At a very young age, he had already ascended to Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, which is no small feat, Florida happens to be a real state, unlike some of the ones in which we’ve lived. From there, he rolled almost easily straight to the U.S. Senate, where within a year or two there was already talk about presidential runs. He ran, he got rolled, but everyone got rolled by Trump.

So the guy has some kind of talent. He just has had a remarkable ability to hide it of late, “of late” being the last six to eight years. He just cannot seem to figure out what he believes in. He does believe in getting to the bottom of UFOs, which may be the bravest stand he’s taken as a U.S. Senator, and that might not be far from the truth. Whichever way the wind blows in Republican politics, you’ll see Marco flapping.

One would think that the Matt Gaetz thing is an easy call for a man who looks for easy positions to back with committed strength. Yes, you would think, but then there are all those voters in Florida, and the fact that Donald Trump loves Gaetz and it all just ends in a mess. It almost makes one wonder if Marco is a little caught up in things himself, there was that link to Florida politics.

We have NO proof of any such thing, and there are NO allegations of which we’re aware. All we’re saying is that this is one weird position.

Marco, it’s played out awfully bad so far and a lot of people are “pretty firm in their denials,” O.J. was pretty firm in his denial, Nixon was pretty firm in his denial, hell – Bill Clinton was pretty firm in his denial. That’s not how we measure these things. The FBI doesn’t spend a year investigating someone’s life just to get some pics.

But this is Marco being Marco, he is just a big… nothing. Which is weird because he actually had potential at one point, it was the wrong kind of potential, but it was potential.

So the net had some fun with “we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.”

When you say something that stupid, you have to know it’s coming. Good.
