Watch as Jen Psaki Absolutely Crushes Peter Doocy for Misleading Question on Voting, ‘Built on a Lie!’

Fox’s Peter Doocy seems to be a slow learner. Jen Psaki has taught Doocy, on numerous occasions, that his “gotcha” questions don’t work with Jen, nor do vague leading questions. Today Doocy tried a gotcha question and set it up with a vague assertion of fact, something that would be hard to define “similar.”

The MAGA right is really bothered by MLB pulling its All-Star game out of Atlanta and taking the game to Colorado, a blue state. MAGAs don’t like accountability to anyone, and they especially don’t like being accountable to big business with a lot of money and symbolism using that power. The MLB’s decision lead to an avalanche of companies that followed suit, all of them punishing Georgia in some way for its voting laws. But MLB led the way and is the biggest target.

The MAGAs want to prove this is nothing more than MLB pandering to the left, collapsing under cancel culture and not based in fact. So Doocy presumes a vague factual premise to present his gotcha question:

“Is the White House concerned that Major League Baseball is moving their All-Star Game to Colorado, where voting regulations are very similar to Georgia?”

“Very similar?” Does he mean that the voting age is 18 in both states is “very similar”? Does he mean that voters can go to the polls as “very similar”? Or is he … we don’t know. It is too vague. Doocy also must think that Psaki runs the place like Kayleigh and Trump and wouldn’t see his question coming and prepare. Because boy was she prepared.

Here comes the lesson: Boom!

“Let me just refute the first point that you made. Colorado allows you to register on election day. Colorado has voting by mail, where they send to a 100% of people in the state who are eligible applications to vote by mail. Ninety-four percent of people in Colorado voted by mail in the 2020 election.”

“They also allow for a range of materials to provide for the limited number of people who vote on election day,” Psaki continued. “I think it’s important to remember the context here of the Georgia legislation is built on a lie. There was no widespread fraud in the 2020 election. Georgia’s top Republican election officials have acknowledged that repeatedly in interviews.”

“What there was, however, was record-setting turnout, especially by voters of color... What we’re seeing here for politicians who didn’t like the outcome, they’re not changing their policies to win more votes, they’re changing the rules to exclude more voters. And we certainly see the circumstances as different.”

Doocy was too busy dodging to even consider a follow-up and moved on to the next topic lest he takes further flak.

Nice.
