Watch CNN Host Destroy Tucker Over Doubling Down on Racist ‘Great Replacement’ Conspiracy Theory: It Gets UGLY

It was a day that ended in “Y” and so Tucker Carlson decided to once again double down on his unabashedly racist conspiracy theory, formally known as “the Great Replacement Theory.” The theory is a favorite among the right-wing MAGAs (shock face) and it asserts that Democrats are intentionally “attracting” non-white immigrants to the United States to replace white people in establishing permanent control of the United States. To which this white guy says, “So what’s the problem?”

To Tucker, the problem is that he believes “white people” have a God-given right to lead the United States, whereas we were under the impression that Americans led the United States. Americans come in all colors. If American “white people” want to be leaders in the United States, they should work on being better candidates with better ideas in an election.

Tucker has been called out on this before. We did just two days ago.

CNN’s John Berman raked Tucker over, not just for Tucker’s own ugly views, but for spreading them among a crowd that has already proven it will act on such fears. Spreading this hateful slop is particularly dangerous because these beliefs have already motivated many ugly acts of violence in the United States against racial and religious minorities.

What do you do with a racist theory chanted by white supremacists, embraced by killers, used for hate for generations? Well, if you’re Tucker Carlson, you embrace it again and again and again.

Berman’s contributor John Avalon then noted that Tucker’s language tracked some of the same slogans used by white supremacists, particularly in Charlottesville, where racist protesters changed “Jews will not replace us.” We all remember some of the same statements made at the January 6th riot, whether vocally or on t-shirts.

Avlon then smartly pointed out: “There’s a new study of that fear of the great replacement may have been a prime driver, including that replacement theory might help explain why such a high percentage of rioters hailed from counties with fast rising nonwhite populations. Tucker Carlson is playing to his base.”

Yes, Tucker is most certainly playing to his base but he’s also playing to his own most base instincts. Tucker is extremely smart but he’s no actor. His advocacy of “The Great Replacement Theory” is heartfelt and sincere, not just a ploy for ratings. It is also stochastic terrorism at its ugliest. It is only a matter of time before the next lone wolf kills and cites the same theory.
