Lara Trump Defends GOP Booting Cheney: Many Republicans ‘Still Have a Lot of Questions’ About Trump Losing

It is difficult to come up with an example of a person who has gained more airtime with more banality than Lara Trump. She is the 70s band touring small to mid casinos out in the heartland of the strength of one hit song. Over and over again, Trump greatness, Trump this, Trump that, Trump Trump Trump, never an original thought. We have yet to see her answer a real question with any real thought, just practiced, repetitive, sentence-like noises.

Today, Lara Trump went on Fox and Friends to defend the impending vote on Liz Cheney. This was right in Lara’s wheelhouse because she knew that no one on F&F would question anything she said about the election and she could simply repeat the Trump-party line, something she can probably do while brushing her teeth and thinking about whether it’s worth teaching Eric to read:

Of Cheney, Lara said, Cheney “really doesn’t represent, I think, the views of most Republicans out there, the views of our party.”

She meant “his party,” as in Trump’s party, because it belongs to him alone, which is why Cheney is not welcome in leadership.

Look, there are 75 million Americans out there that voted for President Donald Trump that still have a lot of questions about this election. We can’t just let it go. We can’t just sweep it under the rug, and so, whenever you stop representing the party that, when, again the third in leadership there, you really probably shouldn’t have a leadership role.

There are 74 million Americans that voted for Trump but who’s counting? Beyond the states that already counted. Not all of those voters still have questions, at best 70% do. Moreover, they are not questions, they are assertions. They assert they won, period. No other answer is acceptable. Trump can’t just let it go, so it will sit with the party for as long as he sits with the party. “Sweep it under the rug”? As we said, practiced banality.

To be sure, Cheney certainly has stopped representing that party, the one that chooses to create its own truth, the truth that doesn’t scare them quite so much. Cheney sounded like a woman comfortable in opposing Democratic policies without needing to create her own truth. Lara has her lie, Cheney has her truth, as Cheney said earlier today:

“More than 60 state and federal courts, including multiple judges the former president appointed have rejected his claims. The Trump Department of Justice investigated the former president’s claims of widespread fraud and found no evidence to support them. The election is over.”

Cheney keeps saying this precisely because she knows that Trump himself will never, ever, believe that the election is “over,” and thus anyone wanting to profit off Trump, whether from his money or his last name (or in Lara’s case, both) must also agree that the election is not over and that Trump won… In a landslide.
