REPORT: After Giuliani’s Raid, Trump’s Inner Circle Now Wonders Who is Next as Rope Tightens

It appears that “accountability” is again a thing.

It is highly likely that Trump’s inner-camp never considered the possibility that they would lose the election. We can all speculate (and some of us do) about the source of that type of confidence, polls be damned. Some of us sense some manipulation that goes unseen, just below the surface. But we cannot prove that it exists and if it does it was not enough. Trump lost.

And now the Trumps are terrified that they will be held accountable for all those actions taken without any concern that they would be out of power in just a year or two. Rudy got rolled. Rudy’s world is now rotten. But Rudy was surely not the only one out acting recklessly and now they’re all wondering who might be next.

According to CNN:

According to the Trump adviser, the raid ignited a sense of fear inside the former President’s orbit that Justice Department officials may be more willing to pursue investigations of the 45th president or his inner circle than many Trump allies had previously believed. Two other people close to the former President, who echoed these sentiments, declined to be quoted for this story.

They believed that they would hold power. In the event that they lost, they believed that they were simply too “high up” to touch, Biden and Garland would play it safe. They appear to have been wrong and now they know it.

“I can’t for the life of me think why you would need to send seven FBI agents to go and collect a cellphone and laptop,” said the adviser, who also described the Giuliani raid as “overkill.”

We can think of a reason. Some people hide extra “burner” phones. Some people have computers in weird places. The FBI may have ended up only collecting one phone and one laptop, but the warrant likely said “any phone” and “any laptop belonging to Giuliani.” We cannot be sure. Maybe they do just like overkill to send a signal. It is the FBI, ask them.

Even the most loyal people have their breaking point,” said a person close to the former President. The Trump adviser separately added that a potential shift in Giuliani’s fealty to his former client “wouldn’t shock me at all.”

To which we add: Everyone has their breaking point with respect to a guy like Trump. American heroes through the years did not break against their country, think John McCain. This is different, this is not about love of country or something bigger, it’s about an insane narcissist that people used for power. It would shock us if Rudy didn’t flip almost instantly.

Of course, they are terrified. They’re only human… now.
