All those dogs in heaven have to be rolling in the perfectly manicured grass, laughing their little tails off that the one president in recent memory without a dog is the most bitter one-term loser, perhaps ever. Coincidence? We’re going to guess that they don’t believe so.

It is always a tough call on whether to cover Trump’s rants on his new “blog.” Most get ignored, at least by us. But when he addresses the future of the Republican party, well – then it relates to today’s news and the country’s future. It is important. Evidently, CBS released a new poll about the state of the Republican party as it stands today. We find these polls to be highly misleading because just about anyone admitting to being a Republican nowadays is, by definition, MAGA Trump supporter, with very few exceptions. He could have 98% support in the Republican party and it would mean nearly nothing as Republicans bail from the party.

But here’s the guy, bragging away that things couldn’t possibly be better:

Breaking News! New polling by CBS News on the state of the Republican Party (which is very strong!). “President Trump has a strong hold on the GOP.” 80% of Republicans agree with the removal of Liz Cheney from GOP Leadership and only 20% disagree. The poll also showed that 67% of Republicans said that they do not consider Sleepy Joe Biden to be the legitimate winner of the 2020 Presidential Election. I agree with them 100%, just look at the facts and the data—there is no way he won the 2020 Presidential Election!

THAT is a “very strong party”? Interesting.

First of all, the Republicans don’t control any of the three political bodies. Trump may or may not have noticed but when he came into office they controlled all three. Most people would see that party as one in decline, or at least certainly declined under him.

But even better (very funny), with regard to the GOP as a minority, 20% of that declining party disagrees with the most important issue with respect to unity and strength. Trump believes he controls the Republican party. But 20% disagree and the party just lost control of everything! Hard to win elections when you already lost and it appears you could lose another 20%. Moreover, the biggest split in the GOP is the Big Lie, and Trump mentions the Big Lie in every single blog entry. It is stunning that 67% believe the Big Lie but it doesn’t help him that 33% do not! Count three Republicans and there’s a good chance that one of the three will not vote for Trump again.

That is not a strong Republican party. But Trump has never been really good at evaluating what numbers mean over all. Perhaps that explains the string of bankruptcies and lawsuits in his wake. We can only hope that that dogs talk to that big Boss in heaven and threaten to strike if things start to turn around.
