Donald Trump Says Mike Pence is the Reason He’s Not President Anymore

Donald Trump has blamed everyone but himself for his no longer being president — including, of course, Mike Pence, his former Vice President. He returned to beat this dead horse again on Tuesday, saying if it weren’t for Pence he’d still be president.

So perhaps if there’s any time we should be grateful to Pence, this is it. Whether he wanted to or not, he played his part in preventing another four disastrous years with Trump as president on the fateful day of Jan. 6 when he declined Trump’s request that he block Congress’s certification of Joe Biden as president, Queerty [1] reports.

Despite Trump’s claims that Pence had the power to discard the Electoral College’s votes, Pence noted in a three-page letter [2] to members of Congress that he didn’t have unilateral power to do this.

Trump is continuing to allege voter fraud despite the fact that he has never provided any credible evidence that this occurred during last November’s presidential election. On Tuesday in a phone interview with Real America’s Voice, he was asked to comment on his relationship with Pence.

“I’ve always liked Mike and I’m very disappointed that he didn’t send it back to the legislature. When you have more votes than you have voters in some cases, and when you have the kind of things that were known then, I was disappointed that he didn’t send it back,” Trump said. “I felt that he had the right to send it back and he should have sent it back. That’s my opinion.”

“I think you would have found that you might very well have a different president right now if he sent it back,” he added.

Well yes, it would be lovely if we had a president who is more progressive than Biden but it’s a relief that Trump is no longer in office.

Here’s what Trump had to say in the video below.
