Fox Segment About Hunter Biden Goes Off the Rails When Ivanka and Jared Kushner are Mentioned

Hunter Biden has been, admittedly, a problem for his father for quite a while. It is not his past dr*g use or personal behavior. We suspect most people have demons in their past which, if laid out for the the world, would at least be embarrassing. This is especially true with add*ction issues because it’s doubtful that there’s an American family out there that hasn’t been touched in some way by add*ction, either in the family or close friends. People understand that it’s an uncontrollable disease that requires treatment and that it doesn’t always work the first time, for a few, it never works.

No, Hunter causes harmful issues through the business decisions he’s made. He didn’t break the law by being on the board of Burisma, but he had no business being on it, his father was vice-president. We don’t know about the China rumors. We are relatively certain that the computer thing is complete bullsh*t.

Thus it is that we cannot find any sort of rational reason why Hunter would open himself up to such a self-inflicted wound by putting a painting up for sale for $500,000 dollars. Some of us have written beautiful novels, which deserve to have the rights purchased for $500,000, but it just hasn’t happened. Perhaps if our father was president, it would’ve happened, perhaps even honestly… but unlikely. And we wouldn’t do it anyway due to appearances.

To make it even worse, the painting is being sold anonymously, supposedly so Hunter doesn’t know who purchased it and thus cannot compel favors. But that’s dumber than a duck fight. At the very least, if they had the buyer disclosed, one could examine whether it was purchased by an art collector or, say, the Sierra Club or Exxon. It makes a difference.

The point was made on The Five on Fox tonight, and it is a legitimate concern. However, it also pales in comparison to what Jared and Ivanka did while working inside the White House. We start with the legitimate question:

Katie Pavlich said:

“What’s preventing someone who buys this art from texting Hunter Biden and being like, ‘I bought the art from you. There’s nothing preventing him to find out who these potential buyers are.”

Umm, we’re far more concerned about the buyer, not allowing us to know who purchased it. If we all knew who purchased it, we could watch whether that person or entity was getting special favors.

But then the hammer was lowered by Jessica Tarlov.

“I really wanna say this part. We cannot have this conversation and completely ignore the fact that Trump children – Ivanka and Jared – according to the Citizens for Ethics Investigation [sic] made hundreds of millions of dollars while they were serving in government posts. Ivanka got… dozens of trademarks, including three preliminary trademarks the day she ate with [China’s premier] Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago.”

Watters is always happy to interrupt and defend the indefensible.

“She’s been in business for two decades!”

“Are you kidding me?” said Tarvlov. “If Chelsea Clinton was like, ‘Oh, I’m selling my fancy shoes in China. I had dinner with Xi Jinping…’

Dagen McDowell was happy to defend the indefensible. As if having the patents beforehand (and she did not have all of them beforehand, she acquired some after Trump became president) makes the conflict any less obvious.

“Those trademarks, they filed for those well before Trump was in the White House.”

Tarlov retorted:

“And they didn’t divest. You guys are not actually defending — just admit it. You guys want me to say Hunter’s a bad boy and you won’t even admit the fact that what they did is preposterous.”

Actually, what is preposterous is that no one brought up Kushner getting his ass saved when “Mr. Middle East” Jared avoided a ruinous balloon payment that by a Qatari business conglomerate that refinanced his building. That wasn’t $500,000 worth of favors, it was more like $500 million and it just happened to save the guy with all the Middle East secret access.

But who’s counting, and who cares? No one at Fox brought up Jared and the most obvious conflict.
