Former first lady Melania Trump has always valued her privacy but because she keeps to herself this has left many people with a lot of questions about her. This includes Queerty’s Graham Gremore, who wants to know:

“Does she really love her husband? Is she really fluent in five different languages? How did she actually obtain that ‘Einstein Visa?’ What are her thoughts on Christmas? Oh wait, we already know the answer on that one.”

But according to journalist Michael Wolff, in his book Landslide: The Final Days of The Trump Presidency, most of those in Trump’s inner circle won’t touch one question with the proverbial ten-foot pole. It’s something, he notes, that they are afraid to ask: “Where does Melania Trump really, actually, live?”

More than a few people have asked this question but most don’t know the answer. According to Wolff, most Trump associates consider this question “the third rail that nobody wants to touch.”

“Nobody really knows where Melania lives,” he told The Daily Mail. “She is not with him a lot of the times. This was true when he was in the White House and it’s true now.”

As I have reported before, insiders say Melania spends most of her time with her own family and there’s a good chance she and young Barron, 15, spend most of their time with her Slovenian parents at the home she purchased for them in Maryland.

Wolff spent a few rather bizarre hours with the former first couple earlier this year when they invited him to Mar-a-Lago and during dinner, he noted they seemed reasonably content.

“Dinner was like a wedding party, with Donald and Melania greeting people the entire time,” he said.

It was an experience that he found “mind-boggling” he said.

Melania Trump’s biographer Mary Jordan, author of The Art of Her Deal, said the couple has an “ultra-complicated” relationship and added that she doesn’t know “any couple that spends as much time apart.”

Undoubtedly, Melania is a person who needs much time on her own, and four years as first lady and continually being in the public eye was not easy for her. But she married a man who needs constant attention to stroke his ego, so she signed up for this. So I’m afraid my sympathy for her is in short supply here.

I’m glad these two are back in Florida where they belong and out of the White House. Melania may be quiet and retiring but her husband did so much damage. I’m sure it will take this country years to recover.
