Major Trump Trouble: Over Three Million New Documents Found in Trump Co-Conspirator’s Basement

Some shocking new evidence was revealed today amidst an otherwise run-of-the-mill criminal hearing on scheduling matters involving Allen Weisselberg’s indictment and upcoming trial, which will happen unless he pleads guilty and offers to cooperate with the prosecution.

As everyone knows, in a criminal trial, the prosecution is required to give the defense every piece of evidence that they intend to introduce at trial or any evidence that might tend to prove innocence. The prosecution cannot hide the ball. But in certain cases, especially white-collar crime, the prosecution can most certainly hide the ball amidst a dump truck full of paper that may or may not apply to the case. “We just want to be sure they have everything, your honor.”

Rarely, however, are “three million new documents” pertaining to the prosecution found in the defendant’s basement. We have no idea who counted to three million, likely a computer, but the very fact that they remained in a basement and not in an office storage area may be relevant. Given the fact that Trump has done all he could possibly do to keep his financial records from prosecutors and the press, this would seem to be huge news.

It likely is, there is likely evidence within those documents that prove… whatever it was that the Trump Organization regularly did. The fact that the information came out on the same day that Weisellberg’s attorney said that he has a strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming should make Trump, Junior, Eric, and Ivanka, that much more nervous.

From Rawstory summarizing CNN’s report:

“We have strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming,” attorney Bryan Skarlatos said at a pre-trial hearing in New York State Supreme Court, according to a report from CNN.

Asked about the pending indictments, CNN’s Kara Scannell said: “There was no further elaboration on that point, and we don’t know exactly who could be charged or how many people.”

He probably has a strong suspicion, but one doesn’t share suspicions with the press. The more interesting fact is that Weiselberg’s attorney requested the judge move the trial date back given that the prosecution just handed them the documents in question:

“He said he just received today a manilla envelope that he held up in court with a bulge in it,” Scannell reported. “And he said within that, he was told there were 3 million documents. He said these documents were found in a co-conspirator’s basement, and they were tax documents. So certainly a lot more information getting transferred from prosecutors to the defense.”

For a guy that’s done all he can do to hide his financial information, this has to scare Trump almost as much as the stuff he pulled while president. As we always do when reporting these stories, we have Stormy Daniels to thank for this investigation and possible prosecution. Were it not for this brave woman, one whose work is honest and not to be shamed, especially compared to Trump, none of this would have been possible.
