Major Twitter Battle — MAGAs Versus Progressives Over Ashli Babbitt: ‘Say Her Name!’

If there is someone on the left who wanted Ashli Babbitt to lose her life, he or she isn’t actually on the left. If there are people on the left who don’t particularly care that Ashli Babbitt lost her life, count us among them.

Unlike so many black men whose lives are needlessly ended during traffic stops, Ashli Babbitt was trying to break through a window, one that was the last barrier between her horde and our elected officials. She had been warned, and warned, and warned, warned so many times it’s almost embarrassing when compared to the average black man.

Finally, her warnings ran out and she paid the price for her actions. The only reason the Right is shocked by the incident and demanding answers? Ashli Babbitt was white, that’s not supposed to happen to white people.

It is hard to be sure how Babbitt got trending again today. It might go back to yesterday when someone on the left challenged right-wing MAGAs to name a well-known white person who lost their lives at the hands of the police, a name akin to George Floyd, or Brianna, etc. Donald Trump Jr. said “Ashli Babbit.”

There is no comparison. Babbit was the aggressor and warned.

Still, today, the Twitterverse is filled with MAGAs insisting that we “Say Her Name,” Ashli Babbitt, as if she is some kind of hero. We wonder where they learned that trick? Meanwhile, the left is more than happy to point out that Ashli brought about her own death while saying her name. Below, we set out some of the back and forth.

Was the crisis in Afghanistan surrounding the pull out of American Troops Biden's fault or Trump's fault?
