Melania Repeatedly Tried to Humiliate Trump in Public as Revenge for Stormy Daniels Scandal

As news of her husband’s affair with Stormy Daniels broke, First Lady Melania Trump used the occasion to take a slap at her husband by appearing arm-in-arm with a handsome military man, according to a former top aide who worked for her during the Trump administration.

In her upcoming memoir, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw In The Trump White House, Stephanie Grisham, who served as Melania’s chief of staff and communications director, offers a renewed glimpse into the former first couple’s marriage, Insider [1] reports. The book is scheduled for release on October 5 and has been excerpted by The Washington Post [2] and The New York Times. [3]

Daniels’ allegations were a kind of catalyst for Melania, who used them and the allegations made by other women to take subtle digs at Trump. Especially in public, including the instance where she appeared in public with the handsome military officer. She’s also been known to exclude him from photographs and social media posts.

It’s not unusual for first ladies to have military escorts to public events, but Grisham notes Melania went out of her way to get under her husband’s skin by choosing the exceptionally handsome young man.

Melania paired a cream-colored pantsuit with nude high heels to the event and claimed she needed to hold the military aide’s arm to steady herself because of the Capitol’s slippery floors, Grisham writes.

“I laughed to myself because I’d seen the woman navigate dirt roads in her heels,” she noted, per The Post. [2]

Grisham also says Melania never lashed out or exploded in rage at her husband. She didn’t believe his denials, however, and, according to Grisham said “This is Donald’s problem. He got himself into this mess. He can fix it by himself.”

Both Trump and Melania have released sharply worded statements criticizing Grisham, who resigned after the January 6 insurrection, characterizing her as a vengeful former employee in search of a paycheck.

Trump’s spokesperson Liz Harrington calls the book “another pitiful attempt to cash in on the President’s strength and sell lies about the Trump family.” Melania’s office has criticized the book as [4] “an attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House” based on “mistruth” and “betrayal.”

If this is true, perhaps Grisham was just parroting what she’d learned from Donald and Melania.
