QAnon Anti-Vaxxer Whose Followers Harassed Hospital for Ivermectin Dies of … Drumroll Please … Covid
A QAnon conspiracist has died from COVID-19, one who became the center of a serious harassment campaign against the Chicago hospital where she was being treated for COVID. Veronica Wolski didn’t come into this world a “Q” but – unfortunately – left this world as one, disbelieving everything sensible that has been written about the disease and then becoming the center of the Ivermectin movement, with her supporters screaming at the hospital to give it to her.
With respect to the harassment campaign, Vice published this piece prior to Wolski’s death:
Veronica Wolski, who’s known for boosting anti-vaccine and QAnon conspiracies from a bridge in Chicago, was hospitalized two weeks ago after contracting COVID-19. She is a patient at Amita Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, according to posts on her Telegram channel.
Wolski’s supporters claim that after two weeks she had convinced a doctor in the hospital to administer ivermectin, but she was then told that the hospital system would not allow any doctor to prescribe the drug to treat COVID-19 because regulatory agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have not approved it.

Sadly, nothing worked, except the vaccine that she didn’t get. From Newsweek:
Veronica Wolski, a popular QAnon advocate best known for hanging banners from a bridge in Chicago, died in the early hours of Monday morning after spending weeks in hospital with COVID-19.
Her death was announced on Telegram by conspiracy theorist Lin Wood, one of the biggest and most influential QAnon supporters. Wood previously urged his 814,000 Telegram followers to ring up the Amita Resurrection Hospital and demand that Wolski be treated with ivermectin instead of approved and tested drugs or vaccines.
Now the hospital is sure to be inundated with phone calls at the very least and could be subjected to much worse if the movement turns as violent as it has in the past. This is a fringe that already sanctions violence and uses violent imagery. We are left to “hope” that they don’t unleash the violence on people.
Wood wrote:
“It is our responsibility to ensure that these medical m*rders stop NOW and the perpetrators be brought to justice.
“Veronica will be on her bridge in Heaven looking down on us. We must do our best to make sure Veronica did not leave this Earth in vain.”

The whole thing is just “needlessly” sad. If she had just gotten vaccinated, she’d be raving about some different conspiracy here today.
