Trump Sees His Popularity Plummet Among Republicans in New Poll Numbers — People Don’t Want Him Back

Evidently, there is a new poll out among Republicans regarding who they believe should be at the top of the ticket for the 2024 race (It is unbelievable that this is being polled), and that poll is horrific news for Trump. There appears to be a difference between being a “Trump supporter” versus thinking that he should be at the top of the ticket. This would be quite normal for the guy who just lost the last election.

But Trump isn’t normal and he’s on every conceivable Right-Wing media outlet in existence where he gets fawning interviews, he is also going to rallies, which is even worse. All we see is Trump love and the resulting power. But Kaitlan Collins interviewed Jeff Zeleny on CNN today to talk about a new poll out that found declining numbers among Republicans regarding whether they should have Trump at the top of the ticket.

Suffice it to say, despite all the excitement accompanying Trump’s travels and within the media, his popularity among Republicans seems to be plummeting.

COLLINS: “A really interesting part of this new poll found that as of March of 2018 78% of Americans thought their chances were better with Trump and now that number is 51%?

ZELENY: “That is fascinating there and not a good trajectory and what has happened during this period? Former president Trump has been sticking his head up more and been more active– not like he’s sitting on the sidelines,”

“This isn’t happening in a vacuum. As I travel around the country and talk with Republicans and voters and other rank and file folks, there is, even among Trump supporters, not a lot of unanimity about they want him to come back.

COLLINS: “You wonder if it only goes down further what does it change going forward.”

Here is what it doesn’t change, Kaitlan, it doesn’t change the fact that Republican politicians are scared to death of him and will refuse to run against him.

ZELENY: “Part of it said that 58% of the Republicans without a college degree thought their chances would be better with Trump. But when you ask college grads, only 34% thought they would be better with Trump as the leader.

“We’re seeing a delicate dance here and everyone waiting for him to disappear.

The former president says he keeps teasing he’s going to have an announcement shortly — I don’t think it’s coming shortly at all. He’s going to draw that out in the next season perhaps. But this is not necessarily great news for Donald Trump, especially that declining number — that’s a fascinating number.”

Well, we knew that much. There is too much money to be made. He has to act like he’s running, even if he has no intention of doing so. However, it is far more likely that he will decide that he isn’t running if the polling goes down.
