Embattled Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar is back in the news almost immediately following his censure by the House for re-posting the same vi0lent video that got him in trouble in the first place. But we’re not the only ones beginning to see a problem here.
Gosar’s brother Tim, appearing on MSNBC with host Nicolle Wallace, said the lawmaker is “dangerous” and should be kicked out of Congress.
It’s not the first time Gosar’s own family has attacked him over his rhetoric. Six of his siblings famously made an anti-Gosar video when he first ran for Congress, urging people not to vote for him.
But his brother Tim, who has been perhaps his most outspoken critic, went further. In response to compelling testimony [1] from New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who was targeted in the offensive video, Tim Gosar praised her as being “powerful, succinct and spot on.”
Saying what matters and what is important and what is true and accurate, so I commend her and hope people are listening.
The younger Gosar still was not finished repudiating his brother’s antics. Countless cable news appearances and political op-eds have seen Gosar’s siblings criticize and call out the Congressman, but Tim’s comments on MSNBC were far more succinct than ever, even suggesting that his brother might be brought up on charges:
I believe he’s dangerous, unhinged and is reckless and is somebody that, as we’ve I’ve said before, needs to not only be censored, but he needs to be expelled. And if at the end of that process, if he gets expelled and criminal charges are warranted, then criminal charges should be brought as well.

This is unprecedented among members of Congress. There has never been a member whose own family has been so concerned with the possible harm being done by their loved one both in politics and in American culture. His sister Jennifer has also called out her brother, telling MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell that it was “about time” he was censured, and also said he should be expelled from Congress.
We can only hope Paul Gosar is listening.
