Welp, Ivanka Trump’s Legal Troubles Just Got a Whole Lot Worse (Don Jr’s Too)

Jason Miciak, aka “the Help,” continues to fill-in when needed, and encourages everyone to visit him over at Substack, Much Ado About everything.

We have yet to meet a Trump that does particularly well with the truth. Obviously, the biggest liar is Trump himself, and the second biggest is Melania because she’s learned everything about how to be an American adult from [sugar] daddy Trump. The kids? They’re all about the same; bad. Very bad. Perhaps it’s in small part because they never had a good story to tell.

Lies to the media don’t count, at least they don’t count against Trump, it is practically his calling card. The kids followed suit.

But speaking of suits, one is coming up, and it looks to be going to trial, the one about the million-dollar gift off the inauguration committee for rooms and space in the Trump International Hotel in Washingon. And it looks like Ivanka and Junior will have to take the witness stand (you cannot refuse to testify in a civil trial) and answer some difficult questions. But this time, they cannot lie. After all, their opponent is the prosecutor’s office already:

But one Trump case, in which his 2016 inauguration committee and the Trump Organization were accused of a million-dollar grift, has been proceeding for almost two years without drawing much notice, and this week, a judge issued a major ruling indicating the case is likely heading to trial. And that could mean that Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr., who have each been deposed in this civil case, could end up on the stand and questioned about their involvement in an alleged brazen rip-off of nonprofit funds.

Yeah, that’s what happens when something that is supposed to be “non-profit” (the inauguration committee) has so much money it is deemed necessary to convert it to profit.

.As Racine put it, “The Inaugural Committee, a nonprofit corporation, coordinated with the Trump family to grossly overpay for event space in the Trump International Hotel…The Committee also improperly used non-profit funds to throw a private party [at the Trump Hotel] for the Trump family costing several hundred thousand dollars.” In a way, Racine was saying that one of the first post-election actions of the Trump gang was to illegally use the inauguration to make a buck—a lot of bucks.

A party that cost “several hundred thousand dollars”? Heart transplants don’t cost “several hundred thousand dollars,” think of all the good that could have been done with that money.

So, Ivanka and Junior might find themselves being asked uncomfortable questions and – again – they must answer, in a civil trial, unless they invoke their 5th Amendment rights. Be sure not to rule that out with these people.
