REPORT: Trump Had Secret White House Meetings in the Days Before Insurrection

The House Select Committee that is investigating the January 6 Capitol insurrection recently obtained new knowledge through former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham of secret meetings held in the White House before the day of the incident. Grisham also told the committee that there were documents provided to the Secret Service at that time that would clear up Trump’s intentions around the march on the Capitol that day.

Grisham’s history, such as resigning as Melania Trump’s Chief of Staff on the day of the insurrection, did indicate that she would have crucial information for the committee, but what she had to say proved even more imperative than anyone could have predicted. She gave those investigating a deeper look into the details of the weeks and months leading up to January 6, and most importantly tipped them off about unofficial meetings that were taking place during that time.

These meetings were only attended by a select few aides who were particularly close to Trump. One of the names that Grisham dropped for those who would have been invited was Timothy Harleth, a close friend and employee of the former president who first worked with him in his hotel business before joining him in the White House later on.

Interestingly enough, Harleth was later ousted from Trump’s inner circle after trying to get in good with Biden’s team so he could keep his White House job after the new president came in, but he has not given any information to the committee. Along with Harleth, Grisham also mentioned Mark Meadows and several others as potentially attending these private meetings that could have a huge impact on the Select Committee’s investigation.
