Steve Bannon and Pete Navarro are Absolutely FURIOUS That Trump Canceled His Jan 6 Presser

Although Donald Trump has been preparing his followers for an epic speech coming up on the anniversary of the January 6 Capitol riots, he ended up cancelling the event all together, much to the anger of his most eager supporters. It particularly upset Steve Bannon and Pete Navarro, who had a word or two to say about Trump’s decision on Bannon’s podcast, WarRoom.

Navarro, who is a current Trump advisor, told Bannon on the show that, “The person who should be holding a press conference tomorrow, above anybody, pounding on the frickin’ table–particularly given [the] cesspool in Georgia, the cesspool of Arizona—is Donald John Trump.” During this rant, which continues for quite some time, anyone listening to the podcast can hear Bannon literally chanting “Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump” in the background while his guest talks.

Trump released his own statement about why he was withdrawing from the event: “In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the Jan 6 Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media, I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, and instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, Jan 15, in Arizona—It will be a big crowd!

Other sources say Trump may have also been influenced to cancel by other friends and advisors, such as Senator Lindsey Graham and Laura Ingraham, who reportedly told Trump he should shift his focus to “election reform” and wait until his later rallies to speak on the matter. Bannon and Navarro, however, may find that their influence on the former president could be ending soon, as he has never been a fan of being criticized.
