Twitter is Bursting with Praise as Psaki EASILY Handled a Lot of Tough Questions About Biden’s Presser

President Biden addressed questions for two hours last night. Nowadays some people complain if a movie is longer than two hours. Biden needed to do it. His approval ratings are down, the Republicans love to say he’s mentally incapacitated. He needed to shake things up, he needed to reassert control, and address his priorities now that the Democratic Senate failed him, almost entirely.

But no matter which president gives a two-hour press briefing, there will be a lot of tough questions the next day, and likely tomorrow, over some of his answers. Twitter says it was her best day, and – in this site’s opinion, her best moment easily stood out. Let’s read it, first, to really appreciate the accurate wording:

Psaki: Are Republicans now against negotiating lower prescription drug prices? Are they now against lowering the cost of child care? Are they now against lowering the cost of elder care? I mean if they allow us to claim all those things on the Democratic side, we’ll take them.

And now the visual:

She was confronted about a question premised upon whether Biden has really let the American public know how he feels about the situation with Putin and Ukraine or did he just confuse people. As we always say, intelligence agencies around the world watch our press conferences for nuggets to pick up and thus Biden has to use a little bit more nuanced “diplomacy speak” when answering those questions, Jen handled it perfectly.

She was also asked a question about whether Biden was already questioning the legitimacy of the 2022 election, just as Trump did before the 2020 election. (“The only way I can lose is if it’s rigged.”) Of course, that was not Biden’s point and Jen did the “Explain it to me like I’m five” answer (Some of us utter those words a lot, “explain it to me…”):

So she was today’s star on Twitter:

Given that Psaki is trending on Twitter, anyone with access can go down the list and read the praise. Or, they can read the MAGAs complaining about why a president needs a press secretary to answer every question he was given last night.

As said above, any president who speaks to the press for two hours will have a press secretary bombarded the next day after parsing answers word for word, or just natural follow-up questions to answers given. She was fantastic.
