Even Melania Trump Doesn’t Want to Use Her Husband’s New Social Media Site ‘Truth Social’

In the wake of Trump announcing his own upcoming social media platform, “Truth Social,” Melania Trump made a surprising announcement that in the future, she will exclusively use the right-wing extremist platform, Parler. Parler made a statement on Wednesday announcing their future partnership with the former first lady. It included a quote from Melania that read, “I am excited and inspired by free speech platforms that give direct communications to people worldwide.”

According to that statement, Parler “has been on the forefront of utilizing Web3 technology and empowers its users to foster productive discourse.” Lastly, the company noted that “As part of the synergistic relationship, Mrs. Trump will share exclusive communications on Parler.” That relationship has been building for a quite while, as Parler was the website to get the very exclusive opportunity to publish Melania’s NFTs back in December.

George Farmer, who founded Parler, commented on his association with the former FLOTUS. “In the time that Parler and Mrs. Trump have been working together, we have found a new level of productivity and engagement with both her, her team, and her brand,” he said. This could be a big score for the fringe social site, especially after they were discontinued for several months following the January 6 attack due to allowing violent content that helped incite the riots.

Now, they are looking forward to the benefit of Melania’s endorsement, and Farmer went on to say, “Parler is excited to take this step forward with her and continues to build out its product offering to support her professional evolution as one of the world’s leading icons.” How Mrs. Trump’s newfound love for Parler will affect her participation on Truth Social is still up for debate.
