A Reckless, Cancer-Ridden and Unstable Putin Issues ‘Doomsday’ Warning to the West

This morning, Tom Friedman of the New York Times wrote an article entitled The War Is Getting More Dangerous for America and Biden knows it. It was chilling and so is the announcement below.

President Biden was originally very happy to let the Russians know that not only was our intelligence so good that we were telling the world the exact day that Putin planned to attack, but that we were pointing out where certain divisions were bogged down etcetera. The leaks – sometimes intentional releases – were meant to dissuade Putin.

Putin was not dissuaded. Now that information has been leaked that the U.S. helped pinpoint the Muskva, the Russian Black Sea flagship and the U.S. has also helped pinpoint Russian generals, allowing the Ukrainians to kill approximately 12 Russian generals, Biden is furious. The leaks show just how involved the U.S. is in the Ukraine war and Biden worries that our significant involvement will get us dragged into the war ourselves.

That makes this announcement all that much scarier. Putin is sending a “doomsday” warning to the West. Remember, while reading this, Putin has cancer (he is having surgery next week when the world expects the real savage actions will be taken), he is unstable, reckless, and losing a war everyone thought he’d win in two weeks. According to Reuters:

President Vladimir Putin will send a “doomsday” warning to the West when he leads celebrations on Monday marking the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany, brandishing Russia’s vast firepower while its forces fight on in Ukraine.

Defiant in the face of deep Western isolation since he ordered the invasion of Russia’s neighbour, Putin will speak on Red Square before a parade of troops, tanks, rockets and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

A fly-past over St Basil’s Cathedral will include supersonic fighters, Tu-160 strategic bombers and, for the first time since 2010, the Il-80 “doomsday” command plane, which would carry Russia’s top brass in the event of a nuclear war, the Defence Ministry said.
