Fiona Hill Said Putin Would Get Annoyed With Trump Because He Had to Constantly Explain Things to Trump
In yet another example of how embarrassed America should be for letting Trump get elected, it turns out that Russian President Vladimir Putin had to basically give The Donald civics lessons.
That’s according to Fiona Hill, who served on the National Security Council as an expert on Russia. She was also a witness at the first impeachment trial of the former president.
At the Chicago Council on Global Affairs this week, Hill expounded:
You could see that he got frustrated many times with President Trump because he had to keep explaining things, and Putin doesn’t like to do that. Even though he loves to be able to spin his own version of events, he wants to have predictability in the person that he’s engaging with.

There’s no shortage of witnesses to Trump’s ignorance. Apart from all of America watching Trump fumble his way through major foreign events, even those who worked with and for him noted his stupidity. John Bolton even said in his new book that Trump once asked him if Finland was part of Russia.
No, Donnie, it’s not.
In her new book There is Nothing For You Here: Finding Opportunity in the Twenty-First Century, Hill recounts a number of former White House appointees who watched the president act or sound like an idiot. Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly once said that Trump “doesn’t know any history at all, even some of the basics on the US.”
Hill tells her readers:
Whenever he got to meetings and the conversation started, it seemed like the first time he was hearing things from world leaders.
That’s just embarrassing. And in fact, Hill goes on in the book to declare that Trump’s mortifyingly limited knowledge of literally anything going on in the world was a major liability for our national security. Which, you know, she worked at.
