One of the most everlasting images of the Trump presidency will be him doing three or four practice swings on the tee and then – having a pretty decent swing for a guy his age – hitting the ball and immediately jumping into his own cart to roar ahead. (He always teed off first and never waited for the others to tee off before he ripped out there.)

As if that were not enough, Trump actually made money every time he went golfing. The secret service had to rent carts from him and, if they wanted to eat or whatever, had to pay just like anyone else, but as proper, the Secret Service budget covered the expenses.

Obama went golfing at the military course at Joint Base Andrews because it was far easier for the Secret Service, having the course already in a protected area. Instead of making money, Obama tried to be considerate. He could’ve golfed wherever he wanted.

Trump golfed through every single crisis this country faced, but especially through COVID. He golfed more in four years than presidents did in eight. And yet Sean Hannity wants you to be angry that Joe Biden played golf on Sunday after going to church (He goes every Sunday).

The optics on this are terrible. According to a report from The Daily Wire, while First Lady Dr. Jill Biden was visiting war torn Ukraine —on Mother’s Day —President Joe Biden was working on his golf swing, hitting the links with his brother Jimmy. Meanwhile, across the world and in a literal war zone, First Lady Jill Biden was doing Joe’s job. No word on how Joe’s golf game went.

That is awfully desperate, Sean. Let’s all ask ourselves, would either Trump have gone to Ukraine in similar circumstances? No chance.
