Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She’s Not Crazy and Rumors That She’s ‘Unintelligent’ are Not True

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) attacked the media earlier this week because she says, people believe she is “angry, or crazy, or unintelligent,” Raw Story reports.

Well see, here’s the thing — the reason people believe this is because it’s true. I mean, when you write weird Facebook posts that hype bizarre QAnon theories that purport California’s deadly 2018 wildfires were caused by some space laser fired by a “nefarious group of people,” per Media Matters for America, people are going to think you’re a few slices short of a pizza. The same applies if you espouse weird theories about 9/11, the Parkland and Sandy Hook school shootings, and are fond of pushing anti-Muslim and anti-Semitic tropes as well.

But in an interview, Greene told conservative podcast host Lisa Boothe:

“They [the media] create me as someone not to be liked (gee, I think Greene does a good job on that all by herself.) They make me out as if I’m angry or crazy or basically just unintelligent, which, you know, is completely unfair. But they give me all the ‘isms.’ You know, ‘ists.’ Like the racist, the homophobic, um, you know, anti-Semitic. They put all those labels on me and none of them are true.”

She went on to say this is “pretty frustrating so I think people get the wrong idea about me,” she told Boothe.

MTG once confused the Gestapo—Nazi Germany’s secret police—with gazpacho, the cold Spanish vegetable soup.

Really Marj? You’re not a homophobe or a transphobe, even though you tweeted this not all that long ago?

And oh yeah, you also tweeted this and then pinned it to your wall:

Greene also complained about arming Ukraine while mothers in the U.S. struggle to find baby formula, bizarrely comparing the Biden administration to a “regime.”

“Our government, it’s not the same government,” she said. “It’s a regime. They’re communists. They are waging a war against America. Anyone that went inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, whether they just walked around or they fought with police officers or they broke their way in, they have become political targets. They have been arrested. They’re being prosecuted.”

As they should be. These people made themselves “political targets.”

Another example of MTG’s intelligence, or lack thereof…her wearing a mask with a statement that is 100% untrue.

Greene also attacked Nina Jankowicz, who has been selected to lead the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board (which sounds rather Orwellian). Indeed, Orwell’s book 1984 notes such a ministry, and perhaps this befuddled Greene because she goes on and says this:

“The Ministry of Truth is absolutely absurd, and that woman, we have a lot to say about her,” Greene told Boothe. “The very idea that they can make her the decision-maker of what’s true and what isn’t true and she’s just clearly a far-left woman who seems miserable in her own right.”

“And I just feel sorry for her child to have that kind of mother,” she said.

This is kind of funny when you think about it because the only one complaining here is Greene.
