Watch as Kellyanne Conway Learns in Real Time That Trump Made a Nasty Statement About Her ‘Going Back to Her Crazy Husband’

Kellyanne Conway offered little criticism of her former boss, Donald Trump, in her recent memoir Here’s The Deal. If anything she gave any such criticism a wide berth in her book that details her time running his campaign and serving as his senior advisor during his controversial administration, Mediaite reports.

Her loyalty to Trump made for a contentious relationship with her husband, Lincoln Project co-founder George Conway, who let his distaste for Trump be widely known.

But Thursday, Trump was in no mood to reward Kellyanne’s loyalty. Instead, the former president issued a vituperative statement excoriating her, even though she was perhaps his most dogged defender, and dredging up her husband while shredding her claim that she told him he’d lost the 2020 election.

Kellyanne Conway dancing with Trump at his inauguration, which she claims she could’ve stopped when Trump said he wanted to drop out of the race following the Access Hollywood scandal.

“Kellyanne Conway never told me that she thought we lost the election,” Trump wrote. “If she had I wouldn’t have dealt with her any longer — could go back to her crazy husband.”

“Writing books can make people say some very strange things,” he added. “I wonder why? Got 12 million more votes than we did the first time, the most votes, by far of any sitting President. The election was RIGGED. They used Covid to cheat and steal, and the evidence is massive and indisputable.”

Trump fired off the angry missive while Conway was being interviewed by Mediaite’s Aidan McLaughlin for this week’s The Episode podcast. The pair were in the middle of discussing Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen. McLaughlin wanted to know if Conway thought the ex-president’s claims were a turning point for the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol that was led by Trump supporters.

McLaughlin read Trump’s statement to Conway. Her response was that Trump was preparing to send a statement in support of her book, but that an adviser had somehow convinced him to turn against her instead.

“I was given a statement last night that he was going to put out — a beautiful statement about the book and our relationship and how hard we had worked together,” she said. “So somebody worked overtime between last evening and this morning to have him put that statement out.”

Conway said she believes someone is giving Trump unfavorable headlines about her book by people in his circle.

“I think that people have their own interests at hand, including the same people who say privately that Donald Trump lost. And I would love to see his 2020 campaign team out there. I would love to hear from Brad Parscale and Jared Kushner and Tony Fabrizio, John McLaughlin, a whole bunch of them, Bill Stepien. I’d like them to go on the record. I never see them anywhere talking about the 2020 election. So that’s very fascinating. Some of them even say they’re out of politics now. But I saw a beautiful statement that was going to come out some time between last night and this morning, that did not, about the book.”

But even with Trump’s criticism, Conway said she’d be willing to run his 2024 campaign if he ran and “if he would have me.”

Well, I suppose if that happens it would give her the chance to invent more “alternative facts” again. I’m sure we all miss that, don’t we?
