Explosive New Evidence Indicates Chuck Grassley Was in On Attempted Coup

Who remembers this quote from January 5th, 2020? We should all remember it because it was so damned confusing and terrifying. From the Iowa Capitol Dispatch:

“Well, first of all, I will be — if the Vice President isn’t there and we don’t expect him to be there, I will be presiding over the Senate,” according to a transcript of his remarks sent by a spokesperson.

We don’t expect him to be there. Some of us have interpreted that comment as knowing that Pence would be swept up by the Secret Service, and that may well still be the case, the last-ditch plan if Pence didn’t give in to Trump’s pressure. But it appears that Grassley was also looking at a Constitutional plot of utter bullsh*t to justify throwing out Democratic Electoral College ballots. Again from January 5th, 2020:

“First of all, it’s a legal process under the law and under the Constitution, for these folks to do what they’re doing. It was done by the Democrats in 2004 and I think one other time. People that are finding fault with Republicans doing it shouldn’t do it when it’s done by Democrats.”

And so why would Grassley have to be the one to do it? Because he would reject those electoral college votes?

It appears so from a new memo released today from Trump lawyer Kenneth Chesebro to Rudy Giuliani about how to conduct January 6th. It was meant to be a coup and it’s set up in the memo. Pence was supposed to “recuse himself,” despite the fact that Gore didn’t recuse himself, Dan Quayle didn’t recuse himself, the Vice President has one duty. Had Pence recused himself, it would’ve been the end of democracy in America. Have no doubt, this is the Republican plan for 2024, too.

To some of us, it is clear that Pence was run out of the Senate chamber at the exact time that Pence decided to do his job, the exact time that Pence began to do his job (Remember the Trump tweet? Pence let us down?) which was the backup plan to this memorandum, where Pence was supposed to step aside willingly. Adam Schiff said that the most chilling words he had heard in the entire investigation were Mike Pence’s words to the Secret Service that he wasn’t getting in the SUV to be whisked away. Pence knew they were trying to get rid of him, get him away from the Capitol so that Grassley would count the Electors and reject those from the contested states.

It is exploding on Twitter, implicating Grassley in the attempted coup:
