Election 2020

REPORT: Melania is the Reason Donald Trump Turned on Ivanka and Wrote Statement About Her ‘Not Being Involved’ in Election Results

There is no love lost between former first lady Melania Trump and her stepdaughter Ivanka, but now internet news site RadarOnline.com is reporting that Melania is behind her husband’s row with his eldest daughter. Now, this is coming from Radar and not the Washington Post. That said, Melania is rather litigious, and Radar knows this. It’s highly doubtful they would report this if it wasn’t true.

When Ivanka’s testimony was aired during the widely-televised primetime hearing surrounding the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, she said she “accepted” that former Attorney General Bill Barr found no evidence of fraud during the 2020 presidential election, despite the fact that her father, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed there was.

And of course, by supporting Barr’s statement, Ivanka was swiftly rebuked by her father.

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” Trump complained on Truth Social. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked).”

But according to one unnamed source, “even before the hearing, Ivanka had been iced by Melania, despite living almost around the corner from each other in Florida.” The site also noted Ivanka was apparently warned to distance herself from her father and says she hasn’t been seen with him for more than 521 days.

It’s also reported that Melania and Ivanka share no love for each other and that Melania has called her daughter-in-law a “snake.”

One of the former first lady’s friends, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff has noted the animosity between the two can be traced back to the beginning of Trump’s presidency. When the Trumps moved into the White House, “both (Melania and Ivanka) were respectful of one another’s turf” and it’s been reported that the two women could barely stand the sight of each other.

“As first lady, Melania felt Ivanka was trying to take her place,” one unnamed source said. “For Ivanka, Melania was a hindrance to what she wanted to achieve.”

And apparently, that wasn’t the only back-and-forth between the two. Melania seemed to view Ivanka as power-hungry, someone who would do “what it takes to get what she wants,” to the point of even “poaching” the first lady’s staff members, thus making her “irrelevant.”

I don’t much care for either Melania or Ivanka, but Trump’s eldest daughter is finally standing up to her dad and doing the right thing by testifying. Perhaps over time, Ivanka will figure out that she’s better off without her father.
