Trump Gloats and Takes Credit for Roe Being Overturned: Today Was 100% Because of Me

This will not shock anyone. Donald Trump took 100% responsibility-credit for today’s ruling. Without Donald Trump, not one other Republican on that stage would have appointed pro-life  Justices (Or that is what Trump is implying). Trump says it is because he delivers on promises. (We will get to his statement but let’s check on whether Trump had anything to do with this.)

Let’s check into that.

Neil Gorsuch is one of the justices of the five that voted to do away with Roe entirely, which wasn’t even the appeal presented. This fact is not getting enough coverage. The only issue on appeal was Mississippi’s heartbeat law. The activist court, including Gorsuch, went beyond the case to get rid of Roe entirely. Neil Gorsuch has his seat on the SCOTUS because Mitch McConnell did the unheard of. He left a seat open for an entire 8 months. Merrick Garland should have heard the case.

Trump then appointed Kavanaugh. Now that was weird. Justice Kennedy had hired his law clerks for the next year, as close a sign as exists that he planned on sitting on the Court for at least one more year. Suddenly, he’s retiring. Kennedy’s son is an executive for Deutsche Bank the one bank that loaned to Trump and gave Trump sweetheart loans. It is also the bank that has been fined the most for doing business with illegal Trump money. Trump and Kennedy had this odd reaction after an odd retirement. One can see Kennedy stop and demand “What!”

Next, McConnell pushed Amy Coney-Barrett’s appointment in less than a month prior to an election, creating a rule whereby a party (at least the Republican party) must control both the White House and the Senate to appoint a SCOTUS justice and, if so, can do whatever it wants.

Additionally, Trump contracted out the list of acceptable candidates to the Federalist Society, which was happy to provide Trump with a pre-checked list. There is also the responsibility of the four (at least) justices that flat lied to the Senate (Susan Collins is very concerned). And yet Trump puts this out:

Wrong. Any of the Republicans running for office would have done the exact same thing. Trump really doesn’t have anything to do with it. He just wants people to forget the hearings they are watching. It won’t work. If anything, the hearings just took on greater importance.
