New Evidence Shows Jim Jordan Was A Key Player In The Jan. 6 Conspiracy, ‘Complicit in Everythng’

According to Jeffrey Isaac of The Bulwark, the House Select Committee’s assignment isn’t just stomping out Trump as the leader of the movement to overpower democracy and instill fascism in this country. No, the Committee must also defeat and clear out “Trumpism,” like fumigating a house. In this case, that means the House of Representatives, and Rep. Jim Jordan, in particular.

Just as our sister site noted yesterday, that the final hearing (in our opinion) will focus on those in Congress who conspired to help Trump, as Isaac writes:

There was a moment in Hutchinson’s testimony when this question briefly sprang into view. She commented that “Jim” had been trying to reach Meadows by phone as the Capitol was being breached. “Jim” was Representative Jim Jordan, one of the more notable Trumpists in Congress. The substance of the conversations between Jordan and the White House remains unknown, because Jordan has refused to cooperate with the committee.

Isaac goes on to note that Jordan led the move to block the certifications in the House, Jordan tried to block the 2nd impeachment, Jordan has been one of the biggest proponents of “the Big Lie” that the election was stolen, that “Jim” is the embodiment of Trumpism that lingers in the House and must be destroyed because it is “Jim” who is the one promising to “investigate the investigators” if the GOP regains control of the House. Thus, Isaac says that the Committee best be really sure as to what “Jim” was doing that day on January 6th:

Perhaps it is the case that as the violent mob approached his position, “Jim” was frantically trying to convince Mark Meadows to get Trump to do something to prevent the crowd from assaulting him and his friends. Or perhaps not.

But whatever the case it hardly matters, because “Jim” was innocent of nothing and complicit in everything that transpired that day.

Exactly. And that is why we believe that the last hearing will spill the beans on everything that “Jim” did that day and, given that the Committee has access to texts, phone calls, and – eventually, Mark Meadows (He has to make a deal at this point), “Jim” is almost surely going down. Unless the Committee gets rid of “Trumpism,” it’s failed. Jim Jordan must go in order to succeed.
