Fox News Anchor Loses It When Manchin Questions Her Patriotism, ‘My Father Served…Are You Kidding!’

Fox News host Harris Faulkner was left completely flustered when Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) switched things up and asked her if she was afraid that his bill, which focuses on healthcare, reducing the deficit, and green energy would be good for the U.S.

As part of an intense interview on Fox News, Faulkner fired off a fusillade of questions at Manchin, asking him about the proposed bill, that according to Raw Story, [1] implements a minimum 15 percent tax on large corporations, creates new opportunities for oil and gas extraction while at the same time invests in green energy. The measure also permits Medicare to mediate some prescription drug prices and secures stronger subsidies for Americans who are insured through the Affordable Care Act.

Manchin, perhaps growing tired of Faulkner’s relentless rapid-fire questions, finally asked her why she seemed so opposed to a bill that he described as moderate and one that doesn’t rely exclusively on green energy sources and doesn’t raise taxes on anyone making less than $400,000 a year.

“Harris, are you afraid we’re going to do something good that’ll help our country?” Manchin asked.

At that point, Harris acted insulted.

“Of course not, my father served!” she retorted. “Are you kidding? Service is in the Bible! That’s what we do, we serve our fellow man and woman! Don’t make this personal, because it’s not!”

It may not be personal, but you wouldn’t know that by the velocity of the furious questions Faulkner asked Manchin. And she continually harped on President Joe Biden’s low [2] ratings [3] in the polls and noted this isn’t a good sign for Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections. Whatever you may think about Harris Faulkner, she’s not wrong here.

But this isn’t what Manchin came in to talk about and he reminded her “I’m working with what we have here and the majority party is the Democratic Party.”

All of which means the 2022 midterm elections are going to be interesting indeed.
