Fox News Hosts Go Nuts After MSNBC Guests Slam Trump Supporters as Evil…and Much More

So…I think it can be said that former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany doesn’t have the world’s greatest grasp on the definition of “irony.” I say this because she recently labeled MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross and a panelist appearing on Cross’s program as “lapdogs” for supporting President Joe Biden over recent comments regarding her then-boss, former President Donald Trump, Mediaite reports.

In an appearance on Fox News’s Outnumbered, McEnany and others were talking about observations of Trump supporters made by Biden, Hillary Clinton, and others in recent weeks.

Biden and Clinton were addressing the frightening rise of fascism in the U.S., and Clinton, who served as U.S. Secretary of State under former President Barack Obama, drew comparisons between Trump supporters and Nazis. At the same time, Biden has called MAGA Republicans a “threat to democracy.”

“What’s been interesting is it’s not just him,” McEnany said in reference to Biden’s remarks on Trump supporters. “Some lap dogs have followed the presidents orders in using the same language.”

For crying in the beer, does she not remember some of the things she’s said about her idol, Trump? In August 2021, she foolishly said we didn’t see “crisis after crisis” when Donald Trump was president. So maybe she forgot his continual tax problems, his tightrope walking with Kim Jong-un, that whole Russia thing, and the fact that his ratings in the polls were continually underwater during his presidency.

Then Outnumbered aired several clips, including the footage of MSNBC’s The Cross Connection. At one point, Tiffany Cross describes the Republicans as the “biggest threat to democracy.” In another clip from her program, guest Roland Martin, a political commentator had an even less flattering description of Republicans.

“We are at war with these people. These folks are evil,” Martin said. “They have allowed evil into their house.”

That comment mortally offended Fox News host Harris Faulkner, leading her to say “that kind of talk is so irresponsible.” She brought up the situation in which a man was arrested right outside Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home, saying that he planned to kill the judge. Faulkner added comments like Martin’s can lead to these kinds of consequences.

Kind of in the same way that Trump’s comments inspired his supporters to riot on January 6.

Faulkner also attacked Hillary Clinton and others who use history’s atrocities to paint the modern political landscape.

“Let’s talk about what we can do to take down the level of hate in the conversation,” she said. “And comparing things to [Adolf] Hitler and to slavery — why can’t things live in history where they were? They were terrible enough.”

Then she called Clinton “ignorant” for comparing Trump supporters to Nazis. But Faulkner is the one being “ignorant” here. Fascism really is raising its ugly head here and hate groups mushroomed during Trump’s presidency. Perhaps Faulkner is not aware of this, because she continued on in this vein.

“What is she talking about that’s like Hitler in this country right now!?” Faulkner demanded. “Is she so ignorant that she doesn’t know how many people died? There’s nothing going on in country right now like Hitler.”

Even though Trump is now employing olive-shirted security guards to control the crowd at an Ohio rally earlier this month? Because they were doing what resembled a “heil Hitler” salute?

And this is only going to get worse. It leads me to wonder what McEnany, Faulkner, and others at Fox News are going to say about this then.
