Herschel Walker Says Even if He DID Pay for an Abortion, it’s Nothing to Be Ashamed of Because He’s Been Forgiven

Herschel Walker can bury any problem within his in-your-face religiosity and in combination with his acknowledgment of his mental health issues. But he’s long passed the limits of those excuses. He believes he’s been redeemed long ago in God’s eyes? Fine. He can take it up with his God. But with respect to the here and now and whether he’s qualified to be a U.S. Senator, that abortion might as well have been three days ago because, as of three days ago, he was pounding his pro-life credentials while keeping it a secret. He continues to deny the claim… sort of.

This morning in talking to Hugh Hewitt in the Walker rehabilitation tour, he all but admitted the abortion happened:

“I know nothing about any woman having an abortion, and they can keep coming at me like that. They’re doing it because they want to distract people.

No, “they” are doing it to inform voters that you’re a lying hypocrite who cannot be trusted. If you had admitted it straight up, said you’ve been “born again” or whatever and that you’ve come to peace with God – a year ago, then maybe it’s an issue that’s not relevant now. Hiding it now makes it a problem now. No one cares if you’ve found yourself forgiven (convenient).

“I know that, because I’ve already been forgiven. And if I’ve been forgiven, why in the world would I not be forgiven of something like that?

Anyone charged with murder could say the same thing. Walker said abortion was murder.

“I wasn’t perfect. I had my problem with mental health. I hate to say I’ve been born again, but I have a new life and I’ve been moving forward.

“And if that had happened, I would have said, you know, nothing to be ashamed of there. You know, people have done that, but I know nothing about it.

“And if I knew about it, I would be honest and talk about it, but I know nothing about that.

Walker brushes away anything with “mental illness” and “redeemed/forgiven,” and that may work with his relationship with God, none of our business. But it is meaningless when it comes to deciding whether he can sit in the Senate and not humiliate Georgia. He doesn’t care. Neither do the true MAGAs who are only looking for control of the Senate and would elect a purple “woke” M&M if it gave them control.
