MAGA Sen. Rick Scott Says GOP is Sticking With Herschel Walker, Comparing Him to Brett Kavanaugh

Senator Rick Scott is head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which raises and distributes funds for GOP Senate candidates. Any loss in the Senate, whether it is maintaining the 50-50 Senate or possible gain in seats, will fall squarely on Rick Scott’s shoulders, at least on a national level and at least more so than any other individual. So it is no real surprise that Rick Scott would come out strongly in… delusional denial about Herschel Walker to the point of saying that Democrats are losing. Sorry, Rick, the last FiveThirtyEight poll [1] has Democrats with a 67% chance of taking the Senate.

Hardly guaranteed, but hardly losing in the polls, either. It makes Scott’s statement [2] that much more ridiculous:

When the Democrats are losing, as they are right now, they lie and cheat and smear their opponents. That’s what’s happening right now.

They know they are on the verge of losing the Senate, and they know that Herschel Walker is winning, so they have cranked up the smear machine.

FiveThirtyEight has Walker down 2.1%, and God only knows where he’ll tumble from this October surprise. And good f’ing luck finding an October surprise on Rev. Sen. Ralph Warnock. Scott goes on:

This is just like the smears they attempted against Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas, and it will not work.

No, they worked. Republicans just didn’t care.

Herschel has denied these allegations and the NRSC and Republicans stand with him, and Georgians will stand with him too.

Well, any of us can deny doing anything wrong in our lives. It is just that the denial doesn’t make it untrue. But it’s no surprise that Scott would stand behind Walker. Scott is the same guy who refused to even lightly rebuke Trump’s language in saying McConnell has a DEATH WISH and the racial smear against Elaine Chao. Typical Rick Scott.

And this is what they are defending:
