‘Shame on Them!’ Trump Whines and Cries on Truth Social as SCOTUS Says Congress Gets Tax Returns

Surprising no one, Donald Trump doesn’t care about, nor understand, the law and thus wouldn’t be in a position to realize that a court might be ‘wrong’ but not necessarily “shameful” in a ruling (except one in which they had lied about, with four justices promising to uphold Roe as settled law, then immediately ruling the other way at the first opportunity). Trump finds it shameful that the SCOTUS cleared the path for Congress to obtain his tax returns:

One can detect the silliness of his response brought to us by Mediaite:

“Why would anybody be surprised that the Supreme Court has ruled against me? They always do!

It is unprecedented to be handing over Tax Returns, & it creates terrible precedent for future Presidents. Has Joe Biden paid taxes on all of the money he made illegally from Hunter & beyond?

Joe Biden has made his taxes public. Is Trump tacitly admitting that there is income that went unreported on his own taxes? Is he admitting that there is foreign income that is reported in his taxes? We will find out soon. He was not done.

The Supreme Court has lost its honor, prestige, and standing, & has become nothing more than a political body, with our Country paying the price. They refused to even look at the Election Hoax of 2020. Shame on them!”

Trump manages to get most of that paragraph correct. The Supreme Court has lost a lot of its honor, prestige, and standing. The problem is due to stolen seats, leaking documents, perjury in front of the Senate over Roe, and accepting a bizarre 12th Amendment case that could fundamentally change how we elect presidents in this country, a change very much in favor of the Republicans. (Far more on the Court’s loss of honor here from my article).

Now Congress has about one month to examine the taxes. The situation is unprecedented, and thus it’s unknown right now whether Democrats will be allowed to copy the documents and use them while in office next term or whether they have one month to delve through the major points, publish them to the public, and take any action that they might find proper. It would seem as though they can make most major points to the media that would then be able to hold the specifics in reserve past the changeover in control of the House.

We can’t know. We do know that Trump’s taxes are – after seven years, finally becoming public, and Trump is furious. Situation normal.
