Candace Owens Says She Wants to Openly Discriminate Against the Morbidly Obese and Transgender People

You may remember that not too long ago Candace Owens defended Kanye West for his anti-Semitic tweets — which led to his being temporarily banned from Twitter.

But why stop there when you can spread a little more hate? That’s more or less what she encouraged during the latest episode of the Candace Owens Podcast, where she suggested we would all be safer if certain groups of people weren’t accepted. She claimed that all of us practice discrimination in our everyday lives and described who she would befriend and hire.

She acknowledged that she preferred men who are taller than she is and added “I definitely discriminate against men that paint their nails and wear dresses. I don’t really care how you feel about that.”

“You can wear a dress and you can paint your nails, but I’d prefer you keeping 100 feet away from a playground and all of the feet away from my children and me,” she declared. “If I see you I’m going to cross the street if I’m with my kids.”

But that’s not all she did during the episode, which was titled Why Some People Deserve To Be Discriminated Against. She also mocked people who might suggest she should be “more accepting of men who like to wear panties.”

“I’m good,” Owens said. “You can be more accepting of it. You run that risk when you see a guy that looks like a freak and you’re with your children and say ‘To be accepting, I’m gonna put my kids next to him.'”

“I am not going to be that person. I’m gonna go ‘That looks weird,’ and I’m gonna move away from it. It’s that simple.”

Then she saw fit to make excuses for herself, saying that she would discriminate against any adult — especially a man — that she saw alone in a playground, “no matter how they look.”

“It’s a healthy discrimination for me,” she said, and added she would use the same discrimination in choosing a doctor, dentist, or personal trainer.

“I don’t want a dentist with bad teeth,” she said and then criticized singer Lizzo, whom she’s taken potshots at before. “I don’t want Lizzo being my trainer. If you want her to be your trainer, have her be your trainer.”

“I am going to discriminate against somebody that is clinically obese,” Owens said. “They’re never gonna get me healthy. I am good on that.”

“So, all of this is to say is obviously discrimination is built into us for a reason,” she said. “It’s a survival mechanism, right?”

“We want to survive,” she explained. “And so, when we get that feeling. My mother used to refer to it as the heebie-jeebies. When someone just gives you the heebie-jeebies, even if you can’t quite put your finger on why, I think you need to lean into that, and I actually think that society would be safer if we discriminated more.”

“What’s happening now is insanity, because they’re telling us to accept everything,” Owens added.

So then her next target was Sam Brinton, who was fired from their role as an official of the Department of Energy in the Biden administration. He was fired after being charged in two separate instances of allegedly stealing suitcases from airports in the U.S.

Brinton originally made headlines in June after becoming the deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy. In turn, they were the first openly gender-fluid individual in federal government leadership, Newsweek reports.

On her podcast, Owens said Brinton “looked like a crazy person” when they landed their first position in the government, then showed a picture of them wearing gowns.

“We’re supposed to go, ‘Oh my God, yay. It’s so inclusive and I love it,” she said. “No, when I saw it, I went, ‘I’d like to discriminate against that. Yeah, I wouldn’t like my tax dollars to go toward that.”

“I just feel like that person needs to stay away from me and my family. I don’t want them in any positions of powers. I don’t want to invest in that in any way, not even with my tax dollars.”

“And it turns out that if we had that healthy dose of discrimination as a nation, that person wouldn’t have been able to victimize two women, because that’s what [Brinton has] done,” Owens said.

Brinton was placed on leave in November after being accused in a complaint filed in October of stealing a woman’s suitcase from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport’s baggage claim area in September. And according to the complaint, Brinton faces a maximum felony charge of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both. Their next court hearing is scheduled for December 19.

An arrest warrant on charges of grand larceny was issued for Brinton on Friday after they were accused of stealing luggage from another woman, this time at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas in July.

Brinton has since been fired by the DOE, but Owens has suggested that if they had not been appointed to that governmental position, the thefts might not have taken place. Brinton, she added, probably wanted the “underwear” of the complainants, per Newsweek.

Describing Brinton as a “freak,” Owens said: “If only we as a nation were willing to discriminate right when we saw [Brinton] wearing all those dresses and thigh-high slits, maybe these young women wouldn’t have been victimized.”

“All of this to say, ladies and gentlemen, I openly discriminate against weirdos and freaks, and I encourage you to do the same.”

How sad. Owens is, by her own prejudice, ensuring her children will be ill-prepared to grow up in a world where they will face transgender people and other people with different ideas about what constitutes gender and sexual identity. Her children could grow up to be bullies or to be conflicted if they are unsure about their own personal issues.

I understand her interest in wanting to keep her children safe around men they don’t know, but she’s going to some rather sad extremes here.

Here’s what Owens had to say below.
