‘Great Gangster’: Americans Stunned After Trump Favorably Compares Himself to a Mobster

So Donald Trump is on another one of his bizarre rants on social media. In other words, it’s another day, so it’s another example of weird behavior from Trump.

Earlier Monday, Trump brought up a rhetorical question, asking readers if they now understand why he trusted Russian President Vladimir Putin over his own intelligence officers. And to put even weirder icing on this cake, he followed this up by comparing himself to the “great gangster Al Capone,” Mediaite reports.

He went on to use an equally weird juxtaposition by adding another comparison in his victimization-fest. He believes that all of the investigations and inquiries into his behavior are the result of weaponized law enforcement and are all part of a concerted effort to bring him down.

So now he believes he has “more lawyers working for [him] on this Corrupt law enforcement induced Bull…. than any human being in the history of our Country, including the late, great gangster Alphonse Capone!”

“Because of the Weaponization, Targeting, and Unprecedented Harassment, I believe that I have more lawyers working for me on this Corrupt Law Enforcement induced Bul…. than any human being in the history of our Coutry, including even the late great gangster Alphonse Capone! This is all being done for POLITICAL REASONS in that I am leading everybody, Republicans & Democrats, by big numbers in the Polls. The Disinformation Specialists are at it gain, fulltime. The Fake News is their TOOL.”

Perhaps most of you remember Robert DeNiro’s brilliant performance as Al Capone in the Untouchables. It was truly unforgettable, but there’s one thing Trump seems to have forgotten — Capone was eventually taken down over tax evasion.

Perhaps someone should remind him of this.
