Marjorie Taylor Greene is about as obnoxiously anti-LGBTQ as people get and she continued that tradition earlier this week appearing at a rally at the Capitol which included a number of anti-trans activists. But the good news here is that the event was minuscule, with only a dozen people showing up.
The extremist right-wing Georgia congresswoman joined the rally which also included Chloe Cole an activist who has become the darling of the right after de-transitioning, and Tiffany Justice of Moms for Liberty, [1] which of course actually means they are anti-critical race theory, anti-mask, and last but not least, anti-gender education. You can pretty much assume that any group with the word Liberty in it is not concerned with your liberty unless, of course, that group is dedicated to oppressing what you hold dear.
The rally-goers carried signs bearing anti-LGBTQ slogans such as “Gender ideology does not belong in schools,” and “There are TWO Genders: MALE & FEMALE ‘Trust The Science!'” which is hilarious because Marjorie Taylor “Jewish Space Lasers” [2] Greene is decidedly anti-science.
Representatives from The Heritage Foundation also attended and the group posted on Twitter that the rally was a gathering of people “calling out policies that push for minors to have access to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and sex reassignment surgeries.”

It’s ridiculous that the group insists there are federal policies “pushing” LGBTQ children to receive gender-affirming healthcare, because that is most certainly NOT happening, and that’s sad because it’s a branch of medicine supported by most major medical organizations. [13] It’s something these kids would benefit from.
LGBTQ people have frequently been targets of Greene’s wrath.
Relying on her beloved QAnon rhetoric, she accused [14] the Democratic Party of being “the party of child abuse” and “the party that represents grooming children” and “genital mutilation of children.”
Gender Ideology doesn’t stand a chance.
Today, @Moms4Liberty [8], @RepMTG [4], @billboardchris [5], @alexstein99 [15], @ConceptualJames [6], @DrJayRichards [10], and I met at the US Capitol today to take a stand against gender mutilation.
We will end this together. pic.twitter.com/PtDSwuJxIq [16]— Chloe Cole ⭐️ (@ChoooCole) January 11, 2023 [17]
Not content to leave her ridiculousness at that, she also parroted a false claim [18] that was swirling on that bastion of right-wing flim flammery, 4chan, that the Uvalde gunman was transgender and also suggested that trans men were the reason [19] for the tampon shortage. Obviously, this woman has an over-active imagination and possibly too much time on her hands.
Yes, she really thinks these things. No, I don’t know why.
But she’s been very transparent about her transphobia.
“As a woman, I feel threatened because biological men are aggressively replacing women,” she posted [20] on Twitter in March, responding to a post from fellow nutball Charlie Kirk. This was subsequently deleted by Twitter for violating the company’s terms and conditions.
She’s done plenty of other dumb things, but I think the capper was in 2021 when she posted [21] a large sign outside her Capitol office that proclaimed “There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE ‘Trust The Science!'” (Wash, rinse, repeat, I guess). This understandably offended her neighbor, then-Congresswoman Marie Newman,” who put up a trans flag honoring her daughter.
Lawmakers like @RepMTG [4] are taking a stand and pushing legislation that would protect the very children the radical LGBT manipulate and victimize in the name of affirmation and care.
Saying there's been backlash would be an understatement. pic.twitter.com/Al4f1MVCF0 [22]

Greene pulled this stunt just as Congress was considering the Equality Act (which passed–Yay!). The act sought to codify federal rulings that discrimination against LGBTQ people was illegal sex discrimination under existing law, The Independent reports.
I don’t know if Marjorie will ever learn anything that isn’t associated with her beloved QAnon conspiracy theories but there’s one thing you can bet on: I’ll never, EVER let her live down those “Jewish Space Lasers.”
