Jill Biden Has Once Again Really Angered the Conservatives With Her Latest AMAZING Move

First Lady Jill Biden has upset right-wing anti-LGBTQ whackjobs once again.

Earlier this week, Dr. Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, hosted the 17th annual International Women of Courage Awards. The State Department has awarded more than 180 different women from 80 countries since 2007. This year marks the first time the awards ceremony was held at the White House, on “the biggest stage we could,” the First Lady said.

The awards ceremony was held on International Women’s Day and Biden and Blinken honored 11 global women leaders and recognized those with “exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in advocating for peace, justice human rights, gender equity, and equality, often at great personal risk and sacrifice,” Queerty reports.

And this is how we find out about the story of Alba Rueda, one of the honorees, and the main subject of Republican ire.

Rueda is a trans activist from Argentina and Biden greeted her warmly and posed for photos with her. Biden noted her bravery.

“In Argentina, Alba Rueda is a transgender woman who was kicked out of classrooms, barred for sitting for exams, refused job opportunities, subjected to violence, and rejected by her family,” according to the announcer. “But in the face of these challenges, she worked to end violence and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community in Argentina.”

Rueda has fought bravely and that makes Biden and Blinken’s kindness memorable. And this comes at a time when a record number of anti-trans bills are being presented in state legislatures. More than 400 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been in 38 states this year.

So of course, ever since ring-wingnutters found out about this, they have been trashing Biden on Twitter because she shook hands with Rueda.

Rueda, 46, is the first openly trans politician in Argentina to hold a senior position in the government, where she was named the Undersecretary of Diversity Policies within the Ministry of Women, Gender, and Diversity in January 2020. In 2021, Rueda was included in the BBC’s 100 Women, which honors the world’s most influential women, and Time magazine included her in its Time 100 next list.

But the fact that right-wingers are losing it over Biden honoring Rueda is no surprise. They were upset last month after she added a Valentine’s display on the White House lawn, and they lost it when she appeared on Sesame Street to promote kindness, and definitely went postal when she said she wanted to see the stigma against HIV end.

It seems like Jill Biden can’t move without running afoul of some of these nutty fools. She’s promoting things that benefit people and we know how much Republicans hate that.

Here’s the heartwarming moment when Biden gives Rueda the award:
