Kellyanne Conway Takes Shot at Jared Kushner, Admits He Reaped ‘Billions’ While Working in Trump’s White House

On Fox News’ Thursday edition of The Story, Kellyanne Conway, a former senior counselor to then-president Donald Trump said that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and adviser, profited handsomely from the Saudis — to the tune of billions of dollars while working for the administration.

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee released a memo [1] earlier Thursday that stated that family members of President Joe Biden received $1.3 million between 2015 and 2017 from someone with ties to China during Biden’s time as Vice President and shortly after, Mediaite [2] reports. Apparently, Biden’son, daughter-in-law, and an additional unidentified member of the family received payments.

“It is unclear what services were provided to obtain this exorbitant of money,” said Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.).

During one part of the discussion, host Martha MacCallum referred to the investigations into Trump and whether his campaign colluded with Russia in 2016 to get him elected.

“There were massive investigations, millions of dollars spent, and always the question, you know, what are they getting in return?” McCallum remembered. “So, do you have the same question for the Biden family when you look at this money transaction? What was China getting in return? Is that something Americans must know?”

Williams noted that there’s no evidence that Biden himself profited from this or that there was anything untoward going on.

“I can’t say there’s any tie,” he said. “What we have is a check to a widow from someone who was paid by the Chinese with no context. We don’t know what this money was for. In fact, the same person had sent checks to her before there was any payment from the Chinese.”

At that point, Williams brought up Kushner who served as a White House advisor and is married to Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka, never mind the fact that his father is a real estate tycoon.

“Why don’t you look into things like Jared Kushner getting $2 billion directly from the Saudis after former President Trump bragged about protecting the Saudi prince?” Williams asked, a direct reference to Trump barely criticizing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman when U.S. intelligence implicated him in the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

“Kellyanne, is that a fair question about Jared Kushner?” MacCallum asked.

And the shocking part is that Conway answered affirmatively.

“Well, Jared, of course, is the only person I think who has benefitted in the billions — with a ‘B’ — from the Trump presidency. That’s for sure,” Conway said. “But look, I think whataboutism isn’t gonna work here.”

So it looks like we have a new term to learn about: “whataboutism.” But at least Conway was being truthful here. It’s not an “alternative fact” that Kushner benefitted massively from the Saudi’s largesse.

It’s a little shocking when someone from the Trump administration tells the truth.
